Great value for a very good quality hotel. The rooms are spacious, well designed and comfortable and the spa has great amenities and views from the glass panelled window, Breakfast was delicious and staff were pleasant. I would not hesitate to come back, especially at the excellent rate we go.

Stayed at this hotel 4th - 6th November after booking through Secret Escapes. Room was spacious and very clean and bed was huge. Views from the room were excellent and there was a well appointed balcony (sadly unable to use due to the wet weather). Only criticism of the room was there was no climate control. The room is heated...

We stayed in a very rainy November. The hotel was warm and welcoming. The meal we had on the 1st night was good. Only down side was the price of the beer. A bit on the steep side! The breakfast was very good and I would go back again.

If it were not for one very good reception staff member (I do wish I could recall her name because she deserves special mention, should the managers read this review), my rating would be one star only. This hotel was a great disappointment. The proprietors need to seriously review their staff training. They have invested a great deal of money...

First class hotel with beautifully landscaped gardens. Huge trees in the garden and lovely flower beds. Friends of ours live in St Austell and they booked us in to this hotel as they wanted us to have a real treat and special time. And what a treat it was. We LOVED our room. The breakfast was outstanding. The Sunday lunch...

Excellent staff, excellent room, excellent food, excellent facilities need I say more. If you are on a romantic weekend treat yourself and eat in the main restaurant as the brasserie is perfectly OK but has little atmosphere. The main restaurant is in lovely candlelit surroundings. The Spa is great and I would recommend the massage.

We have stayed here around 9 months prior to this stay. Although the room was nice, the bed was comfy, there were no curtains, just wooden shutters up at the window. There was a noise which started at around 5.30 each morning which sounded like aeroplanes taking off, which spoiled the sleep quality. The television went wrong twice, although someone...

Got a deal from Secret Escapes so was considerably cheaper than booking direct. Beautiful hotel with landscaped grounds and very well appointed rooms with enormous beds. The indoor pool and its facilities were to a high standard. Full membership to the gym etc for locals seems to be very good value. Staff were friendly, helpful and polite at all times....

I totally get what this hotel is trying to be - some luxurious retreat in Cornwall where you come to chill which one day probably will be. BUT before achieving this status there are many many more hoops to jump through...or learn to walk before you can jump.. We booked a 3 ngt package with secret escapes which seemed very...

This hotel was clean and well kept. I did have a bit of trouble finding the hotel as I arrived at night time and there was little signs that I could see and poor lighting for the entrance. The parking situation was not the best either. But that aside, the breakfast was suitable and the staff were friendly. The rooms...
