We stayed as we were going to a wedding. I requested an early check in so we could get ready. The owner was very accommodating and this was no problem. Both owners were very helpful and friendly throughout visit. The rooms are small but perfectly formed with very comfy beds and feather duvet/pillows. A great breakfast in the morning finished...

From the very outset Debbie and Andy were warm and welcoming. Throughout our stay nothing was too much trouble and we were given great advice on the best sights to visit around the local area. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, as was the entire building. Breakfast was a delight, with a huge and varied menu to suit all...

After a couple of disasters booking B&B's last year, I'd decided to stick to good old Premier Inns. But we wanted something not so ordinary, and got it. This B&B was the best we have ever stayed in; clean, comfortable, modern but characterful (is that a word?), superb bedroom, terrific breakfast. Everything was good. Including the hosts! We had been...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Chapel Guest House has been under new ownership since December 2016 and is now managed by Andrew & Deborah West. Over Winter we have undergone extensive refurbishment throughout most of the property including all accommodation. All of our rooms are fresh clean and simple with brand new beds and mattresses and all mod cons provided. We look forward to welcoming guests, both new and old, to this beautiful part of Cornwall. Check out our website for the best rates guaranteed. The Chapel Guest House, formerly a Bible Christian Methodist Chapel was originally built in 1862 to serve the village of Carthew. This imposing building has been sympathetically converted to provide accommodation and retains many of the original features of the Chapel. There are large arched granite windows with coloured glass to the front, and glimpses of trusses and keystones are evident throughout the building. With prices starting from £75.00 per night the Chapel offers offer luxury accommodation in 5 Guest rooms which have been simply yet tastefully decorated. All rooms have new mattresses and sumptuous toppers made up with crisp clean linen Our rooms all have en-suite shower rooms with toiletries and fresh towels provided. Every room contains a flat screen television, hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities, which are replenished daily. We provide free parking and free WiFi as standard. . The Chapel Guest House offers a comprehensive breakfast menu to suit all tastes, including buffet style, continental, a full cooked breakfast and vegetarian option and many more. If you have any special dietary requirements such as gluten free, dairy free or vegetarian, please let us know and we try our very best to accommodate you. Centrally located in the heart of Cornwall, the Chapel is nestled in a wooded valley in the hamlet of Carthew, just north of the old market town of St Austell. Many attractions are within a few miles such the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, as well as a wide choice of beaches all within a short hop. There are many local villages all worth a visit, including Mevagissey, Fowey and Charlestown. The Sawles Arms is a small local Pub only 5 minutes walk from the Chapel, where you will given a warm Cornish welcome. Unfortunately we are unable to accept pets. This is because we have 2 small dogs ourselves. The Chapel is a great base for your Cornwall visit and we look forward to welcoming you into our home ... more   less
