I was seriously considering not sharing this with you all. However, I'd not be doing justice to the great people of Driftwood by keeping it secret, so here's a whisper to the discerning....it's great! Fabulous food (Michelin rated), a lovely fresh & informal atmosphere, breathtaking taking coastal location and professional, kind people who seem to actually care about your stay... More

The Driftwood has once again hit the spot. It's just so good that we can't help but return to this gem of a hotel. The food is just what you would expect from a Michelin Star Restaurant. The staff as always are brilliant.

We visited in off-season, and I think this is the best time. A friendly welcome, a pleasant room, a most georgeous dinner (at acceptable prices, the service made it up), a superb location, I can only recommend to drop by and see for yourself.

Visited this for a special occasion. Room, as forewarned, was very small, and a little difficult to negotiate due to a lack of headspace. Both my wife and I are 5' 8" and found this difficult so taller people would struggle. However this was the only downside of the hotel. The location was idyllic and the views outstanding. The quality... More

Thank you, I am pleased you enjoyed yourselves, and yes the room is small, it is the smallest we have but does have lovely sea views. I hope we will see you again and please, ask for one of our larger room. More

I stayed here got two days at the end of October. I opted for a small double with shower not bath as this seemed the best value. Dinner was included as it was low season prices. The room was lovely with fantastic sea views and luxurious fixtures and fittings. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the dinner... More

Recently spent two days in this glorious place. The location is stunning, with tranquility and wonderful sea views and walks. Staff all very friendly, and very perceptive as the first night we were with friends but without having to keep on asking, they sorted the bill allocation out perfectly. Food is amazing in quality, choice and value, not often you... More

From the first moment we arrived we received patient, attentive and well informed service along with a genuinely warm welcome. Everything was just perfect. Lovely comfortable rooms, superb food and service, beautiful gardens leading down to a private beach. Just wonderful.

Stunning New England style boutique hotel with amazing views in a peaceful spot on a cliff top. We had the family room in the loft with a separate bedroom for our boys with amazing views over the sea. The Michelin starred restaurant is phenomenal and one of the best meals we have ever eaten, easily better than some two star... More

Thank you, I am delighted that you enjoyed yourselves and am sorry you felt the children were not made welcome at breakfast. We do think of ourselves as a family hotel, hence the family room, and are very concerned that we have a different impression. Please do come again and do bring the children! More

An excellent venue in a superb location. Lovely rooms [ours was double aspect] overlooking the craggy Cornish Coastline. Within easy reach of The Coastal paths, and with its own beach, Driftwood's extensive grounds offer that little extra, for the fitter traveler. The menu and wine choice was varied and first class. The attention to care and detail was very apparent.... More

We have eaten and stayed at the Driftwood many times over the past five years. The food has been consistently wonderful. The food is beautiful, innovative and delicious and LOCAL. The location is stunning. The front of house team are skilled, enthusiastic and gracious. The French sommelier is encyclopedic in her knowledge. She elegantly steered us through the wine list....
