Stayed 2 nights, first room had strong smell from new carpets so asked to be moved for the second night. Staff were very good and moved us to another room which was a vast improvement. The rooms are a little tired and bathroom in first room had a funny setup as no full shower screen allowing water to flow everywhere,...

A good location, not far off the A30, although access is down a very narrow lane. The accommodation is in a separate block to the main bar and restaurant, although breakfast is served in the accommodation block. The welcome was friendly and efficient, the room clean and comfortable with a good bathroom and walk in shower. Food at the restaurant...

I have to admit that we chose this hotel on the basis of it's proximity, availability & budget. I read the reviews about how helpful & friendly the staff were & was perhaps a little sceptical. I didn't need to be. The staff were genuinely helpful & friendly & it was so good to see that many of them are...

What a welcome (Eileen on reception) very professional. (Alex behind bar) jolly, polite, helpful. (Chris behind bar, waiter, TV changer) one top worker making sure all is in order and everyone is happy and no one is being ignored. Pity Chris and Alex are Man Utd fans lol. The whole experience of my stay was a warm welcome (I'll be back)

Arrived here after a very long and stressful day 10mins late for breakfast and they wouldn't help me out with something to eat. Bearing in mind that I hadn't eaten since Friday night and this was late Saturday morning. People coming to this area will know that finding things open in unsociable hours is very hard as there is nothing...

Stayed here in September and perfectly suited our needs, staff were very friendly and breakfast was lovely ! Only thing that let it down was the bathroom was in serious need of an update but was perfectly usable ! Would definitely return .

I stayed here on 11th May 2016, it looked ok at first glance, more like a motel than a hotel though. The first thing I noticed was a damp musty smell in the corridors, this was somewhat counteracted by numerous plug in air fresheners, the room was an unpleasant surprise, thick dust on the skirting boards, a missing light bulb...

We stayed for anew year break and we was not disappointed. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and spacious.the grounds of the hotel were lovely and the breakfast in the beautiful garden room was superb and we will be going back.
