A very comfortable bed in a room with a view out across the sea. There was a choice for breakfast of various cooked alternatives or pain au chocolate. Pauline was very welcoming and had lots of information about the area

We stayed in the Double Ensuite Room during our walk from Falmouth to St Ives. Pauline was very friendly and the room is not only beautifully decorated but also clean and comfortable. Other than stated in a previous comment here, we found the bed being very comfortable and not creeky at all. Mattress not too hard but even more important...

I recently had a lovely stay at the start of a week walking the South West Coastal Footpath. Pauline was a friendly and welcoming host. She helped us to choose between the local pubs to great success (the local Meadery is worth popping into for a drink) and shared the local news on filming of Poldark and other tv shows,...

We recently stayed at the Old Manse Pendeen for 3 nights. It was a comfortable stay with good breakfasts cooked to order. Pauline was a very pleasant host and gave us interesting information about the area. The down side for us was the walk from Pendeen Watch all uphill plus the full length of the village. This walk is added...

A delightful place to stay with lots to see and do right on the doorstep. Clean, welcoming and friendly with a lovely breakfast cooked to order. Several pubs in walking distance, near the coast path - an ideal location.

We stayed one night whilst walking the coast path. I agree with a previous reviewer that if you have walked from St Ives, which is one of the tougher sections, the last bit from the Geevor Mine to The Old Manse might feel a step too far! It's beyond Pendeen Watch then uphill through gravel paths. Thankfully it is worth...

Chatting with Paulene, the owner, was a highlight of my visit to Penwith, Cornwall. She is an avid traveler herself, and one of the only hosts on this two week trip who were well informed about their area. Hikers will appreciate the fact that the moors loom over her backyard (just keep to the paths!). The Geevor Mine Museum is...

Stayed here for one night during Cornwall Coastal Path. Very welcoming owner who is always knowledgeable and available. (She reminded me of the shopkeeper who appears "as if by magic" in Mr Benn [if you are under 40, ask someone older!] as she will be suddenly be by you side in the hallway) Comfortable well decorated room with good WiFi...

We are walking the coast path and having our accommodation booked for us. What a find the Old Manse was. Close to the coast path and to the Geevor Mine. Everything was all we could ask for. Our hostess was keen to make everything just right and had loads of good advice. Breakfasts were cooked to taste. Fully recommended.

Stayed for 2 nights in this very friendly & comfortable B & B. Good to see so much work has gone in to restoring the whole house to its former glory - stripping off the old paint & lacquer on the doors, frames, bookcases etc., to reveal the pine makes for a really cosy feeling. Comfortable bed and a great...
