We found the Penrose through Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed! We stayed for 5 nights while helping a relative move to Lostwithiel, which makes an excellent base for looking around Mid- Cornwall. Chris and Heidi have thought of everything for making everyone feel really welcome . The room was spotless and the facilities including parking, breakfast, information and...

Chris and Heidi from the moment we arrived until the moment we left were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. We arrived after a very long drive, (7hrs), we were tired and hungry. They informed us that the local pubs would have stopped serving food, however they told us of a chinese take-away that would serve us. They...

We were looking for somewhere special to stay for a few nights and found this fantastic guesthouse. The 'home' of Heidi and Chris was so spotless and the decor befitting this lovely Victorian terraced property was tastefully presented. The photos on booking.com were exact representations of the guesthouse which made us more likely to book. We could not have experienced...

We stayed at the Penrose b&b early September and what a fantastic place. Chris and Heidi do everything to make a stay there fantastic. We stayed in the "granny flat" on the ground floor and could not fault it in any way. Breakfast was exceptional and we found that we did not want to eat anything more during the day....

We were very lucky to come across this gem of a b&b... decided to travel down to Cornwall Thursday evening without anywhere to stay, found this b&b on late rooms and even though it was 930 in the evening when we called to book they were very accommodating. We were in room 6 on the ground floor, the bed was...

Just got back from a lovely short stay at the Penrose. Stayed with my husband and 5 month old baby in one of the family rooms. I must say that what makes this place so special is Chris and Heidi. They are a lovely couple who make you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door and...

We stayed at The Penrose as we had a wedding reception to attend at the golf club. The dogs were made welcome and our room (3) had a wonderful view. We ordered our breakfast choice for the following morning and they were well cooked and plentiful indeed. There was a wide range of delicious jams, breads, cereals and fruit on...

We have stayed In many hotels/ bed and breakfasts, and despite the majority being really good; there has always been a fault of some description. That was until we stayed at the Penrose. We can find no fault at all. Chris and Heidi have this place sown up. Perfects hosts, perfect breakfasts, perfect and immaculate room and view over Lostwithiel,...

This is a seven bed roomed Victorian house on the edge of the village of Lostwithiel and is conveniently situated for the pubs and shops. The owners are very friendly, welcoming and ready for a chat. Our room was a self catering flat, complete with kitchen-diner, with its own ground floor entrance. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, very well and...
