Visited The Cheesewring Hotel around 1 o'clock on a Monday to find the place almost full when we expected it to be quite being out of season. The last table was found and drinks bought while we perused the menu. Staff kept a check on us to see if we were ready to order which was reassuring. Meals selected and...

We had a meal for 13 here. The hotel is in a tremendous location high up on Bodmin Moor with stunning views and walks from nearby. The pub has had a number of refurbishments but still has a rather retro feel. Excellent choice of local beers. Service was great. Food served very promptly. Good solid fare with a huge selection....

Once again the Cheese ring Hotel came up trumps. Five walkers and three dogs were threated to excellent hospitality and a roaring log fire. We sampled the cuisine and their lamb cobbler and lamb suet pie we excellent. The service was first rate nothing was to much trouble and although we turned up in middy walking gear we were made...

Situated next to the Hurlers and Cheesewring on Bodmin Moor, this pub is welcoming and cosy with a lovely log stove. The menu has plenty of choice and the food is good and very generous. Locals and visitors make for a lively ambience.

We met up with friends for lunch at The Cheesewring this week. We knew nothing about it before we went there and were delighted with both the delicious home made food we ate and the excellent service we were given. It was a thoroughly enjoyable, relaxing lunch. Next time we go there we will explore the area with our dogs...

This pub is in the next village so we thought we would go and visit. We booked a table as a Saturday night, as they advertise live entertainment so we thought it would be busy. We were running a bit late, so telephoned and that was no problem for them to hold our table. When we arrived we were escorted...

After one of my favourite walks we went to the pub at 2.15 and asked if they were still doing food. The answer was ''yes if we were quick to order''so we ordered our drinks and sandwiches and can't say anything else but the food was brilliant. We all enjoyed our sandwiches which came with chips , homemade coleslaw and...

We stayed at the Cheesewring Hotel a couple of weeks ago. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean with a lovely en-suite shower room. The owners and staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is probably the best we've ever had in a B & B and the meals are absolutely superb in both quantity and quality from...

We booked a 90th Birthday Meal for our great uncle at the beginning of september for 50 people!. They provided us with a roast meal with 3 choices and a variety of puddings, it was fantastic food at a great price. The service was excellent as it always is whenever you visit. We would highly recommend coming here. Thank you...

Been here many times for a meal, today I took my dad to The Cheesewring for his 86th birthday, he loved it, one of the few places he really enjoys lunch. The roast dinner was faultless, two small lamb roasts for mum and dad and a beef for me which was cooked to perfection - the beef just melted in...

“It is in a quiet area so all rooms are quiet. You have to be aware that on a Saturday night with the live music it is not quiet then, However we joined in and really enjoyed it. Signal for wifi was not good when we stayed.”
