Stopped here for lunch between Christmas and New Year and the staff seemed somewhat surprised at the amount of people who wanted to eat lunch with them. The lady behind the bar told us the food would be 30 mins as they were so busy, which was fine, but in the end it was well over an hour! That would...

We went for a meal to the Ship inn tonight to celebrate Christmas a little early as mum is away for the actual day. Although we know Lerryn as a beautiful little village this was the first time we had eaten at the Ship inn. The staff and owner were friendly and attentive but the food was the absolute star...

New chef setting new standards in this pub with grub, serving local food well prepared and served with a smile. Lerryn is strateically placed between Lostwithiel and Polruan, very pretty and has one inn and a post office cum general store which is excellent. The inn serves visitors and locals equally.

Myself, my husband and baby visited for dinner as staying locally. We're unable to have dairy and staff were really helpful to accommodate us. I had fish and chips and my husband ham,egg and chips. Plenty of food and great quality probably the best pub meal I've had in a long time. Also great friendly service in a cosy pub.

The new chef Dave has made the ship Inn food one of the best in the area, We ate here tonight WOW the food was exceptional steak and chicken pie cooked to perfection, as was the cheese cake, "good Job Ronnie and Jonnie", as usual we were made welcome and the atmosphere from the locals was at its best, roaring...

Three of us called in to the Ship Inn last Tuesday and ordered Coffees, £2-60 a cup . Dearer than John Lewis's coffee shop. The pub looked tired with only one other customer and the food prices looked way too high.

We canoed up from Fowey and called in to the Ship for lunch. I have been here before but was unsure what to expect because some recent trip advisor reviews have been mixed. I could not fault it. I had a lemon sole veronique cooked to perfection and my husband had the home made beef burger. Both were delicious. The...

Lerryn is the sort of village you want to keep to yourself, it's so attractive and away from it all. I've been a few times and always called in the Ship for a pint. I called in this time after walking around the point from St.Winnow and just wanted a sandwich and a beer. The sandwich arrived with a good...

Once parked in the village car park (liable to flood at high tide - so check your tide tables), I entered the pub to check in, the staff were lovely and friendly, it serves a good selection of beers, ciders, wine etc but I found my room very basic and on the hottest day of the year, the window stay...

We visit nearby Polruan on a regular basis. We always have a drive to Lerryn. A lovely walk by the river and then our evening meal in The Ship Inn. Great welcome and lovely food at affordable prices. A good standard menu with a specials board. We are all vegetarian and we always find good choices.

Thank Tommy M
