Stayed for our honeymoon for 4 nights 9n b&b basis in the ideal self contained converted stable barn with own private garden/patio within the beautiful gardens of Mazey Cottage. Was the most wonderful few days away, and Marion and Peter (chef!) were perfect hosts with breakfasts to die for! Public footpath down to the lake and Loe Bar literally just...

We had a wonderful couple of days, staying in the Garden Suite. it was very clean and comfortable set in beautiful gardens. We enjoyed lovely coastal walks recommended by Marion and Peter who are excellent hosts, we even saw a pod of Dolphins at Lizard Point. Wish we could have stayed longer. Marion and Peter were excellent. The standard of their cottage was amazing and they were able to give us good advice as to where to go, eat and enjoy Cornwall. The Lizard is such a beautiful area that our 5 nights were not enough, especially as the weather was sunny and warm throughout our stay.

Our hosts Marion and Peter couldn't have been kinder. Their stunning cottage provided us with a completely private area which was warm, comfortable and beautifully furnished. Their lovely garden is a delight - even in March and the cooked breakfast is fantastic. We can recommend the Halzephron Inn which is a short drive away. Rick Stein has opened a fish...

Marion and Peter are excellent hosts, and gave us such a warm welcome. The house is stunning, very spacious, and it's the perfect space for a relaxing and warm stay. The house has been effectively divided, in order to create a private space for visitors, and they keep their lovely (and quiet) pets in a different section of the house,...

Otter Cottage is great if you want BB with or without a dog. The Cottage is warm , welcoming ,well equipped and has its own garden. You can have breakfast in the cottage or in the main house just a few yards away. We had ours in the main house and it was superb and can recommend the fresh fruit...

We are widely-experienced travellers who seek local culture and colour rather than global 5-star plastic. Mazey Cottage near Helston in Cornwall, where we stayed for three nights earlier this month, was one of our best experiences ever. We got the privacy and crisp cotton comfort we expected from a first-class B&B, the family-produced duck eggs with streaky bacon were exceptional,...

We spent a wonderful five days at Mazey cottage. Set in truly unique, delightful gardens this beautifully kept cottage provided the perfect accommodation: elegant, comfortable and spotless. The rooms are beautifully decorated and of very high quality. The house is close to many beaches and lovely walks; this is a beautiful part of the country and we spent much of...

Perfect for a peaceful getaway. The garden is just beautiful and you are told to go and enjoy it. We stayed in Otter cottage in the garden which was lovely. The beauty of this is it's almost self contained, it doesn't have a oven but does have a microwave and a fridge, which are very useful. Breakfast is in the...
