Stayed for the weekend. Took our big german shepherd with us and everyone at the hotel were fantastic with him. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and the staff could not do enough for us. Car parking was good and right behind the hotel. Hotel is situated near shops which have all the basics you would require. Breakfast...

The room was extremely cold particularly as the weather had been cold and wet it wasn't a pleasurable experience as we had travelled sufficiently and needed rest; but alas it was too cold to rest in the room. When I mentioned this to the staff, the staff member said that the heating was just turned on. Bit late really as...

Stayed just one night to see a band appearing at the hotel. Greeted warmly and the room was fine without being luxurious. I had e-mailed to request a vegetarian breakfast which was first class and huge!

Fantastic hotel with very friendly staff. Car park was no issue as noted in other reviews, and the food was excellent. Room was large and clean with little noise from the main high street. The resident cat was also a nice touch to our stay.

Spent a valentines evening at Tyacks, we had the special Valentine menu, very good value and very nice food throughout the evening. An excellent menu with plenty of choice and variation , steak, fish , shellfish etc ..all well prepared . Our only suggestions would be , the blonde waitress who served us really needs to smile, she could not...

Good service from the team all round. Friendly and helpful. Screens to watch the footie everywhere and bring your plate full of food from the Carvery. Loads of veggies and they even managed a nut roast for me. Couldn't manage a pudding. Just mind you don't spill your gravy in all the excitement.

We stayed overnight Friday because we were delivering a foster dog to its new home. We arrived later, after a 7 hour drive. The bar/hotel wasn't prepossessing, it had live music blaring out and very much a "locals" feel as we walked in. We'd picked because it is dog friendly. From the moment we walked in to the moment we...

-The receptionist Dave goes the Extra Mile for all the customers at Tyacks. -Staff is very friendly and I felt at home all the time. -They are also a very well known pub in town. You can have a chat with the locals there while enjoying live music and special food.

Stayed for one night in no.7 which is a single room at the front of the pub. All the staff encountered were very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and homely, the bathroom warm and clean. The only negative for me was being at the front of the pub meant a lot of noise from outside and also...

Tyacks has been a place to visit and eat for many a year. It still holds it reputation well and remains the restaurant to visit. Good wholesome food and a wide choice of drinks. Service can take a while when busy so don't go in if you are in a rush
