Haven't been in the Wellington for years (since the flood) and today decided to go in for a roast. Had a starters (scallops - fantastic), roast beef, very very good, and the dessert was on the house, sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream. The food was perfect and the service was spot on too. Definitely go back in there again.

Just had Sunday lunch here, so didn't stay, but we had a lovely, if massive beef roast. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, even when I joked that when offered the free pudding that came with the roast, that we were stuffed and couldn't fit in any more and could I have it as a take away, the waiter...

Staying at a National Trust cottage nearby we decided to have dinner here. The food was enjoyed by all 5 of us and the bill came to £78.50 including drinks. The Chicken and chorizo was particularly delightful, as was the confit of belly pork. The bar area is very bright so not the ideal setting if you are looking for...

The two of us booked a meal on New Year's Eve. We had been there two years earlier and had fantastic food for four of us, two being vegetarian. The food was exciting and delicious. This time the food was good if you ate meat or fish but tasteless and uninteresting if you happen to be a vegetarian. Having eaten...

Thanks for your review which we have discussed to see where we can improve. We are sorry that you did not enjoy your meal as The Wellington has always set out to offer great food for vegetarians and others on special diets. Our menu over New Year had over ten vegetarian dishes across the specials, starters and main courses. Unfortunately,...

Perfect stay in a charming hotel. Staff were so friendly and hospitable. Would definitely stay here again. Make sure you get a turret room for an extra treat. Boscastle is a cool little village perfect for walks and just chilling out.

This is the third year we have stayed for their three night Christmas Break. If anything it has got better every year. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The food, either from the restaurant menu or bar menu, is always excellent, my only criticism, very generous portions.
