Stayed for the purpose of a wedding, first impressions were good. Customer service could have been better as didn't reflect the buildings character. The hotel has several external buildings which appear new, not great when raining. Coming back later from a wedding you would think the hotel would be accommodating with the bar, but NO closed at 12am. We had...

To get to my room I had to go out of the building and in a different way. The room was a bit 'tired' and a little grubby, The heating was not on, but there was a convector heater that had been left on making the room far too hot. the bathroom door wouldn't shut and the light pull end...

I've stayed in the lodge for 5 nights. The rate was good, but there were serious issues with the cleanliness of the room, the politeness of the staff (except during breakfast), and the overall noise. The last night, when it was raining, I woke up around 3am from a persistent dripping noise. I searched and found out that it was...

Still as quirky as ever and a little dated BUT my room was good. I requested a single room with bath and on arrival had been allocated a double with bath for the same price. Large room and very comfortable bed. Breakfast in the morning a hot buffet and very high standard as ever.

We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel during a recent visit. Initially allocated a room in the main hse, we were underwhelmed. Very small rm, cold & noisy as it fronted onto a busy main rm. In fairness this is a very old bldg, poss listed, so some restrictions MAY apply. We upgraded & were allocated a perfectly decent...

I really wasn't expecting much when booking for new years eve because all I needed was a bed, the Hotel looked ok on the web site BUT when I got there it was revolting! The room was shoddy, the bed spread had really nasty stains on it, which when I took to reception and complained was dismissed with disdain and...

When we made our booking, months ago, we asked to stay in the modern block. We have stayed there before and found it acceptable. When we arrived this request had not been passed on and we were given room 2 in the main building. This building is very old - the floor in the room slants significantly - the door...

Well what can I say. This hotel should be avoided if you value your and your families health. We booked online via late rooms and got what i thought was a good deal... was £79 for a night for 2 with breakfast. I have attached some images of the bathroom which was shocking. If you are asthmatic then the mould...

I have not even stayed at this hotel. Although I was planning to. After having a serious family emergency I called the hotel to see if I could cancel my booking. Not one person answered the phone or my emails for almost 24 hours. When someone eventually did, I was greeted by the most rude unprofessional "night manager" I have...
