Was in Liverpool for a family event and the city centre hotels were either full or very expensive. It came as quite a shock to find such a pleasant place within reach of the city. In fact I hadn't took in from the website all the facilities on offer, wish I had now. Great place, easy and straight forward access...

Stayed for 4 nights, nice rooms and really friendly staff. The food in both the restaurant and pub were great, same for the breakfast. The standard of the food in the restaurant really surprised me, well above my expectations. Would definitely stay here again.

never heard of the village group before , but we got a good deal and went for it and was pleasantly surprised, the only problem for us was the postcode do not use the one supplied you must go for the address and not the postcode.

All good until it took 3 hours to get some warm water as it was a communal boiler. It was 11pm before I could shower not an ideal situation for anyone. The room and breakfast facilities were good though.

Dirty bath and bedroom had not been vacuumed along with the room heater not working. Expensive food and drink and the food was only just warm. Handy for the motorway, more for business people than leisure. Disappointing compared to other Village hotels I have stayed at.

Our room was very basic and in desperate need of a refurb to bring it in line with other major players not too far from this hotel for the money they are charging. The decor and general appearance of the fixtures and fittings leaves a lot to be desired..!!

Stayed for 2 nights from 6th January and although the hotel was good value for money , our break was spoiled by loud music filtering through hotel until after midnight. . We had food in the pub attached which was nice however on the food we received was slightly cold . I am not one usually to complain and i...

2 night stay at the hotel on a pre-booked 2 night deal which included an evening meal on Friday evening and breakfast over 2 mornings. Dining experience was excellent. Excellent value overall. The hotel generally could do with a little TLC carpets in common areas are showing signs of wear. The bathroom in the room could do with updating but...

We booked this hotel without reading any reviews as we had stayed in village hotels before and had always been happy with them. However, after booking i did look at reviews and was mortified as to what some people were saying, we even tried to cancel but were told we would not get any money back, so we decided to...

Very over-priced for what it is. Perhaps I'm not being fair, as I'm not that familiar with hotel standards in the UK, but I expected more for my money than an unheated room with scratched and dated bare-bones furniture and a TV that didn't work. We climbed straight into bed as soon as we arrived to stay warm! Also, the...
