We chose this lodge as it is on a direct bus route into Manchester which saved having to drive and pay for parking, which also allowed my husband to have a drink with dinner. We had a lovely large room which although it overlooks a very busy road was very quiet. I suspect in summer months if you have the...

This hotel became my temporary home while working in this area for 3 months. The rooms are always warm and clean. The staff are friendly and even when its really busy will take time to help you out. The rooms are all upstairs so beware the narrow staircase carrying luggage. Although right on the A6 road the noise was not...

Having paid double what a room costs here for our Virgin Experience Day, we arrived not best pleased. On entering the room we were greeted by a very basic and disgustingly dirty room. There is a notice stating free bathroom items are provided but these were nowhere to be found even after enquiring with the staff. Further to this after...

Staff at reception/behind bar did not offer a seat for me whilst completing the booking information and did not offer help when I dragged a heavy stool for myself. Poor facilities for disabled customers. Although bedroom design was good the wet room/toilet was unsafe as the tiled floor became wet throughout and I had to use the clean towels to...

My wife and I., not knowing the area, wanted somewhere to eat, and knowing that the evening meal was likely to be a buffet, we wanted something substantial. Our 15 month old grandson didn't get a say in the matter ! Luckily my wife had spotted this place on the drive through. The welcome was warm, the environment pleasant and...

As a woman travelling alone I chose places close to where I will be located, somewhere that I can get food and a drink without having to go out in an unfamiliar area. I was staying 6 nights over 3 weeks. I booked in the first week for 2 nights then though I would judge my comfort level before booking...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Heaton Chapel lodge offers quality budget accommodation right on the doorstep of Stockport and Manchester. It's a good base for visits to Manchester Conference Centre, or if you simply want to make the most of this vibrant part of the country. There's so much to do in the area, you'll be spoilt for choice. Stockport is blessed with some real hidden gems, including the stunning medieval Bramall Hall, the beautifully preserved tunnels of the Stockport air-raid shelters and the intriguing Hat Museum. Manchester needs little introduction, as it's famous for its prolific music scene, buzzing nightlife, world class shopping and two celebrated football teams. Further afield you can visit Cheadle, the scenic Cheshire Plain and the sweeping hills of the Peak District. All of these attractions are within striking distance, but you'll find great food just next door at Toby Carvery.
