There were 14 of us, in three generations, celebrating an 80th birthday, and the house was perfect. We took the house for the whole week, and all arrived on different days. Glorious setting, and it had enough rooms for us all to do our own thing, and/or spend time with whoever we wanted to talk to, and we could all...

A cosy, sweet house with a lovely fire and well-equipped kitchen. The hot tub was a great added bonus! However, the showers were incredibly weak and often didn't even have hot water. A bit disappointing as we had a big group and it was very cold. Also, the first floor rooms were of a great standard, but the rooms on...

I thought I had died and gone to heaven. We rented the whole house for the weekend and we could not think of anything that would have made it better. The house is beautiful with fabulous bedrooms overlooking the river or garden, nearly all have en-suite, well-appointed large kitchen, games room and of course the best hot tub in the...

We stayed at Pool House for one night as it was conveniently placed for a local family get together. It is a lovely, well maintained old house in an beautiful, peaceful location right on the banks of the river Severn. We were very well looked after by the owners, Steve and Tia, for whom nothing was too much trouble. The...

Beautiful spot right by the river, very peaceful. Wonderfully comfortable huge four poster and everything necessary for brief stay, right down to fluffy dressing gowns and slippers! Others have mentioned lack of tea/ coffee making facilities in the room, but this really isn't a problem as our hosts offered both on arrival and placed it outside our room on demand...

I am running out of superlatives to describe the enjoyment that my wife and I get from our annual visit to this beautiful house. I have spoken before about the surrounding area and points of interest but never mentioned the house itself. It's location architecture and internal features make it a treasure to be enjoyed for it's own sake. Speak...

This has been our third stay at Pool House whilst we visit the annual Blues Festival. As always a fabulous welcome, nothing is too much trouble for our hosts. The house is beautiful, bedrooms are gorgeous and breakfast is great, it sets us up for the day ahead. Afternoon tea is special and the scones are freshly baked on demand,...

My wife and I had two nights at Pool House during the recent heatwave and its location on the banks of the Severn was ideal. Very comfortable 4 poster bed, big room, excellent breakfast with full English or fruit/cereals (or both) and Tia and Steve were very helpful with recommendations and making us feel very welcome. Upton is a lovely...

We arrived early as wanted to explore Upton before booking into the Pool House but we were met by Tia at the front door & our room was ready for us there and then. Tia was so welcoming and lovely as was our room. Clean, beautiful décor & wonderful views, we didn't want to explore anymore! Tia explained that they...

Pool House Retreat was where my wife and I chose to stay for our wedding night towards the end of May, after being let down by another establishment. I am so glad we were let down by somewhere else as otherwise we would not have found this absolute gem. I arrived earlier in the day to drop my car off...
