We had a two night stay at this quirky hotel and enjoyed every aspect of it. The building, staff and the locals who frequent the bar are all full of character. It's not the place to go if you enjoy standard, modern hotel rooms, but if you want a place that is individual, and don't mind the odd creaking floor...

Quirky it is and partly in a stage of transition. If you want to clearly see where the owners of this listed property are going then start in the main dining room which is just wow! In a very baronial way. You have to applaud mein hosts and i am happy to support them in our future visits especially as...

We had a two night break and stayed at this gem of a place. It's quirky and the staff are really lovely. Becky and David make a point of chatting to their guests and making them feel welcome. At breakfast we were served by a lovely lady and Ann the next day who is also so full of tips for...

Stayed on a 2-night Wowcher deal of incredible value in April 2017. The exterior is being renovated but, you can sense the character enhanced by flapping England flags, the red post box and red telephone box. Look inside and you will be delighted. David was welcoming, hospitable, knowledgeable and nothing was too much effort to ensure we had a wonderful...

We stayed on a 2 night Wowcher deal, which was incredible value. The welcome was extremely warm, every member of staff we met was helpful and friendly, and the bar had a lovely atmosphere when we popped in for a drink (and a lovely selection of whisky). Dinner was tasty, and the breakfast was great with delicious, high quality ingredients....

We stayed for 2 nights last weekend on a Wowcher deal which made it extremely cheap. We had dinner with a bottle of champagne on the first night which was included in the deal as was the cooked breakfast each morning. The food was good wholesome pub grub but the menu was limited and there was no wine list; I...

I saw this venue on a Living Social deal and thought it would be ideal as a base for us to do a bit of walking and as a birthday break for my husband. The deal was for 2 people, 3-Course Dinner & Champagne - we were able to swop the champagne for a decent bottle of wine. It was...
