The Craiglands is a Victorian spa hotel that backs on to Ilkley Moor. The elevated position gives great views across the valley. A three minute walk above the hotel is the local man made lake/ large pond called the Tarn and above that the moor. It is a great setting. Myself and my wife stayed for six nights as part...

Very tired hotel in need of refurbishment. Institutional Bathrooms and poor room decor with old beds! We asked to be moved to another room which was even worse. In the end we asked for a refund and left.

Just to clarify what our experience was: we stayed in a standard double room and paid £90 for a Saturday night. The good parts: - The room was clean and tidy. - The staff were friendly and helpful. - The decor would permit a re-enactment of the film The Shining. The bad parts: - The bathroom was fairly battered, stark...

One room unclean on check-in, one with a key that wouldn't work and one with an overflowing toilet. A three night stay where only the last 36 hours were in a clean, fully functioning room. Requests from reception (i,e, clean glass/ iron etc) took multiple attempts. The whole hotel had a feel of being uncared for and needing renovation. I...

We had a wonderful wedding on August 23rd 2014. Right from the start Helen (initially, she's not there any more) then Nicky and Claire were helpful and efficient - arranging everything we needed. Discounted rooms for our guests were a real bonus meaning that everyone could afford to stay for the whole weekend. We were also arranging our own activities...

Hotel is old and creeky, but clean. There is a lift to the 1st and 2nd floors but not specific wheelchair accessible room. Nor a wet room (or so ive been told by staff). Beds were comfortable but the room (or at least the 1 we stayed in) you couldn't get the wheelchair to the window to see the fantastic...

Stayed here to attend a family event in Ilkley. Very comfortable room and bed. Perfectly acceptable en-suite bathroom. Excellent location. Nice evening meal. Pleasant staff. This hotel was perfectly adequate for the price. The breakfast was fine. We were grateful to find somewhere so reasonable at such short notice. Hate to the read the increasingly common boring reviews from skinflints...

We stayed for 2 nights and on both nights there was a wedding reception with loud music being played until midnight directly under our room. We had two rooms and there was a significant difference between the two even though we payed the same rate. One was modern and one was very dated. Overall i would not recommend this hotel...

We stayed here for a wedding at Denton hall. Perfectly adequate for a two night stay, large room, slightly dated bathroom. Breakfast wasn't great, poor selection, things had either ran out or sat there too long. Shouldn't have to beg for coffee!

Nice staff and a great location; its a sort of shame really about the rest of it. Very very out of date rooms as is the rest of the hotel. Lupe warm shower this morning rather than a hot one. Looks lovely on the website and with an upgrade would no doubt be amazing. Overall however run into the ground...
