The staff at the hotel are really nice and very helpful, but the hotel is tired, the rooms cold and the plumbing won't give a consistent temperature when you shower. We moved rooms twice - one due to a noisy event going on until 1am, and one due to a cold room round the back next to the main chimney...

Bar was understaffed by one man who did not understand English. Wine was unaccountably overpriced given the very limited scope (seen more variation in local co-op). Dinner Food was good. Breakfast had no coffee, and juices were like worst cheapest kids sugrary rubbish.

I attended the take that tribute evening last night, 3course meal, tribute band, dj, bubbly on arrival. In reality : no bubbly on arrival, beautiful meal, crap tribute band but most horrific was the seating plan. We were on canteen style tables which don't allow for friends to chat and spend time together it only allows for greedy organisers to...

We attended a Christmas party at the Craiglands on the 6th and had a great time. The theme this was hollywood and you arrive to an impressive large sign like in LA. All 8 of us enjoyed the food and spent most of the night on the dance floor, there was a casino and photographer with loads of inflatables. We...

We opted to stay overnight and we're pleased with the room which...

Stayed one night at the Craiglands as part of a coach trip to the Christmas markets of Harrogate and York. Considering the price we paid, we weren't expecting much but we were pleasantly surprized. Check-in was efficient and speedy, the room was clean and adequate for our needs, and dinner and breakfast (also included in the trip) were excellent. Staff...

Stayed one night on Saturday, had prebooked but when arrived at reception the staff member couldn't find our booking so we were directed, bags and all, into the lounge bar, amongst a wedding reception, feeling rather awkward, until the manager had been contacted. After about 15 mins the receptionist said there was a room and apologised for the wait. Room...
