The hotel was clean and well kept. We stayed with a wedding party and there was huge variation in what was considered a standard room- some were huge and others (like ours) were much smaller. Having seen the variation in the room sizes the pricing index baffled us! The lift wasn't the most reliable, but it only has 3 floors...

Who ever took the photos for the website of this hotel deserves some serious reward. Yes the foyer to the hotel is nice and in keeping with Italian style. But once you step away from the foyer and get onto the floors, the lack of up keep becomes obvious. On the 2nd floor we were staying there had obviously been...

We have just spent a week at Hotel Certaldo and had a lovely time - hotel was very nice, well appointed and rooms very large (there are several packages and we booked the "Pink Pepper" package which gave free coffee at bar, free mini bar and various local products incl a lovely bottle of wine (for both rooms we booked)...

If you want to get away from it all this is the place. The hotel is perfectly situated for Pisa, Florence and Siena. The staff are the nicest, most friendliest, eager to please that we have come across on our travels. Nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are big, beds are enormous! The pool is small but never busy, sun...

We loved this hotel as we wanted to visit Siena and Florence by train and it is perfect for both places. We were also central for touring most of Tuscany. The rooms are generous and the staff ere very helpful. The place to eat is the old town, accessed by a railway line fir Euro 1.5 return. The staff will...

Hotel Certaldo was very comfortable and the staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was of a good standard and was cleaned daily. The quality of the breakfast was good although food choice was limited. The extensive hotel garden was well tended and beautiful with a small river running through it with a weir at the end.The swimming pool...

We stayed here for a week. We enjoyed it very much. Our room was big and very tidy. It had a hallway (not all rooms do). The bed was excellent and super kingsize. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a beautiful large garden, and a small pool. Breakfast is excellent, and if you are looking for...

Our room was dark/gloomy. The fan in the bathroom did not extract the steam and the shower door needed to be very carefully & snuggly fitted to avoid getting water everywhere The TV did not work but no matter as we were on holiday [just wanted to see the UK news] On 3 days there was a strong smell from...

Would really recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Certaldo. It's about a 5-minute walk from the train station and the "new" town, and about a 15-minute walk from the old town (or take the cable car). Friendly English speaking reception staff. Breakfast was fairly well stocked and the grounds of the hotel (including pool) were well kept. Good wifi as...

This was our second stay in this hotel (previous was six year ago). Apart from some scratches to the room walls and the slow lift, everything was so nice - the rooms, the park, the river, the breakfast, the employees. We felt like at home, but in amazing Tuscany.
