We stayed here for 3 nights and it was pretty quiet (compared to other reviews I've read) so we got a dorm room all to ourselves which was nice. The dinners were good homemade types, and the free breakfast was nice too. The beers are a bit pricey at $2 each, but the bar staff (Dougie!) were awesome. The owner...

An amazing hostel that had a great atmosphere. Perfect place for Sunday funday as nextdoor to one of the main party hostels. Good price for what you get. Really good breakfast included. Family dinner at small extra cost. Staff really friendly and fun. Free shuttles into town.

If you arrive at Casa de Olas and they walk you out of the main hostel and up a hill to a shed, LEAVE. Stayed for 3 nights in "the shed" some staff didn't even realise it was sometimes used for accommodation. It was super annoying being charged the same as people staying in the actual hostel where they have...

First the good ones: friendly stuff, nice people & music there The dorm rooms are dark, it smells humid, there are no mosquito nets in the rooms and everything seems old and uncared. We did not felt confident as well the water in the pool was green. The pictures on the website looking much better than the reality is. We...

Pros for this place is 100% the volunteers that work here. All great people, down to have a good time. Really helpful big shout out to Rach who helped us swap rooms when I told her about loud roomates. The family dinners were awesome, could be cheaper considering the masses they're producing. But really tasty and a great way to...

Stayed here for 4 nights from Thursday through till Monday. My understanding is that they only have dorms but that's what we wanted. The weekends are incredibly busy at this hostel but they are also so much fun! Fred and Carla the owners are wonderful. The staff are super friendly and helpful and I would have stayed longer if I...

Casas De Olas has a great family feel, from the owners and staff right down to the layout of the hostel itself. Freddy and Carla are fantastic fun and really get the party going. We had heard a lot about Naked Tiger, but Casa de Olas is it's much bigger and better neighbour. The parties get started whenever you like...

Casa de Olas, is a unique place to stay, blending the best of Bed & Breakfast, hotel and hostel together to create the Casa de Olas experience. We are situated on a hilltop over-looking the town and bay of San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. Our location provides endless views over the Pacific ocean with spectacular sunsets nightly. Casa De Olas is designed for the more discerning backpacker and budget travelers who are looking to find an oasis of luxury at affordable prices. In total we have 10 rooms and can accommodate a maximum of 75 guests at any one time. We have dorm rooms that can accommodate from 4-6 people with one room housing 14. Casa de Olas is designed for those traveling on a budget or in groups. All rooms are spacious with en-suites. We think staying a little out of town is the best way to experience all that San Juan del Sur and the surrounding area has to offer. Australian couple Fred and Carla are your hosts bringing a wealth of knowledge from their native land with a long resume in the hotel and restaurant industry.
