The Ben-Mar bed and Breakfast is a wonderful place to stay if you want to be in the middle of Amish country and have a chance to commune with the cows, kittens, dogs and just relax. Herb and Melanie are welcoming and warm and will share information with you about their farm and their community. The rooms are immaculate and... More

We stayed at Ben Mar B& B this past weekend. it was warm and cozy, pretty and the family was very friendly and gave just the right amount of attention. Not in your face but welcoming and inviting. Even the dogs who were laying on the porch each morning, greeted us as we headed out... Herb talked to us quite... More

This is a real gem. Warm, comfortable and a great feeling of being at home after spending the previous 5 nights in a hotel. After settling in it was like going back to my grandparents farmhouse when I was a kid, there was even a couch in the kitchen. The cost was more than reasonable..$85 per night with a full... More

Ben Mar is a dairy farm just outside of Lancaster, near the towns of Intercourse and Bird in Hand. The 2 guest accommodations are kept separate from the main house and are away from the barn, although my daughter was free to visit the animals and play with the many kittens. We stayed downstairs in a spacious suite of rooms... More

Recently my boyfriend and I stayed at Ben-Mar Bed and Breakfast in the Ivy Room. It was an alright place, but compared to many bed and breakfast's in the area, it was slightly lacking. The family was very polite, but didn't offer much information about the area. When we asked for a dinner reccomendation, we were told to ride down... More

My boyfriend and I recently visited Ben Mar B&B (stayed in the Ivy Room) and neither of us had a bad thing to say! Upon our arrival, Herb showed us to our room and gave us our key. What's nice was there was a separate parking lot for visitors right next to the front porch/private entrance. The quaint, country-feel room... More

Ben-Mar Farm Bed and Breakfast provides all of the solitude you'll ever want in each of its two nicely appointed rooms. This B and B is a working dairy farm. Herb and Melanie's website and photos accurately describe their lodging. How nice to have your own parking space, a private entrance, and to be left alone if that's to your... More
