I go to Erie two to three times a year. It was fine.People complain for things that does not make sense. It is the only place in heart of the town. It is close to Arena and all the night life, very accommodating staff. I would not stay anywhere else. Yes it is old but it got all you need...

After several previous visits to Erie and bypassing this hotel as a result of the very mixed reviews, wanting to stay downtown on my annual trip to Erie, I took a chance on it two years ago and had a reasonably good experience so I in 2015 and 2016 and had similar visits. The options in downtown Erie are very...

Dirty and dilapidated. Disgusting carpet. Had to move to a different room due to spider infestation. In desperate need of complete remodeling. Police were onsite due to guest concerns. "Fitness Center" was closed. Questionable people around the hotel. Continental breakfast was minimal.

We were attending a family wedding with several other family members and guests. The hotel was fairly clean, its one decent attribute; but the ceiling had peeling and dropping plaster in many of the rooms. The air-conditioning was inoperative in several rooms. There were no towel bars in any bathroom. The shower, toilet and vanity area are in one room,...

We stayed their Friday through Sunday with our infant son. I've heard mixed reviews on this hotel. Yes, its older so it doesn't get an excellent review. Yes, friends of ours had issues with their rooms. We didn't have one single complaint about our stay. It was all for a wedding. Our room was very nice and updated. The front...

The hotel is situated a a good walk from the water front, but some good pubs are very close. We went to the Plymouth pub just up the street, would highly recommend it. The hotel is clean but desperately needs updating, but that is reflected in the price. Free parking, WiFi, and breakfast are a nice plus.

My husband and I stayed here with our toddler and I was very disappointed. Literally everything needs updated. Peeling wallpaper, moldy ceiling, water stained lampshade, fridge that didn't work, thermostat locked at 80 degrees, 40 year old carpet, drapes and bed spread... And tv. I did not find any bugs however. The parking felt a little scary. The sheets smelled...

Should have read the reviews ....5 of us booked in for 7 nights left after 2. Unbelievable that somewhere like this is allowed to remain open, It was filthy with probably the friendliest and unhelpful staff we ever met. The manager was so uninterested she didn't even ask why we booked out 5 nights early.
