With the high cost of hotels in Lancaster County and some we stayed at that were over prices and sub par, we found the Black Horse a refreshing change. Although it was an older motel, we found the rooms pleasent and accommodating. If your a highbrow stiff shirt from the big city, this may not be the place for you....

While the outside of this motel looks a bit tired, the room was comfortable, clean and very spacious for me as a lone traveler. The staff was very pleasant. Also was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dinner I had at the adjoining restaurant and the continental breakfast while not expansive, it was sufficient. I would definitely stay again.

I have been a weekly guest at the Black Horse Lodge since December 2010 (staying for business purposes). I'm writing to thank the staff for the excellent services they provide. The customer service representatives are always pleasant, professional and accommodating. The rooms are always kept very neat and clean and the dining experience that I've had at The Black Horse...

We usually stay in Bird-In-Hand but this year for our yearly trip to Adamstown I wanted to stay close to all the antique shops. This hotel had mixed reviews but I decided to try it. The staff is very young and inexperienced. The girl that helped us at the desk seemed a little wifty. Our room was clean-that's about it....

I came home with multiple bug bites. I would never stay at this hotel again. I just hope I didn't bring the bugs home with me. I should have trusted my instincts and walked out when I first entered the room. Thick dust under the TV, dirt and debris in the furniture -- very young staff and the manager no...

When my husband and I decided to go to the Stoudt's Brewery Winterfest last month, we originally thought we'd stay in a BnB as we had in the past. Some friends were planning on joining us, and we all decided that we didn't want to have to travel the 15 minutes back to the inn afterward, so we instead opted...

I have been a regular at this location over the last 14 years and am always made to feel welcome. Friendly helpful staff and comfortable rooms. As with a lot of Motels a fresh lick of paint would work wonders and I preferred the breakfasts when they were in the bar area of the Restaurant, more choice and relaxed atmosphere....
