The Deer Head Inn is very charming , with it's wraparound porch and inviting atmosphere it's a great choice to go relax anytime of year . The waitstaff is friendly , music fills the old inn with accomplished local flair . The food , drinks and prices well worth the visit .

This is a a true local treasure. The Deer Head has been running live jazz for 50 years. the food is great and the ambiance wonderful. Not to be missed on a visit to the Poconos. A favorite local hangout. Its a club with some rooms available, not a hotel per se.

We went for the music and there is a 10.00 per person charge for that. No discount if you ordered dinner, which was a disappointment. Waitress was okay, but not as attentive as she should have been. Not a lot of choices, very limited entree menu and the wine prices were very high. My crab cakes were okay, but I...

I looked this up before we left as we wanted to go somewhere with live music. My boyfriend had one of the specials, a short rib, very tasty, but he was a little disappointed to realise it was boiled, he felt it would have tasted better being seared at the end. I had the quesadillas, these were very very tasty!...

Nice place to visit for a weekend. Many locals appear to hang out here. Average age seemed to be >70. Close to parks and trails. Very noisy. Building needs a lot of repair work. Next to Appalachian Trail.

Great B&B/Hotel in DWG - charming, slightly rustic, excellent service and unlike anywhere else we visited. It is not a slick, corporate chain hotel (if that is what you are looking for, go elsewhere) it is a beautifully preserved, owner-managed, three story guesthouse run by delightful people who put on incredible jazz music in the bar downstairs most nights. Rooms...

We wanted to celebrate our anniversary with something different. My boyfriend found this online and was attracted to the jazz bar and restaurant on premises. How can you go wrong?! We registered at the bar while having a drink. The jazz packages are amazing and save you so much money. We enjoyed jazz fusion on Friday and the fantastic Go...

Met up with friends there for breakfast and have to say it was a bad call. The place is VERY noisy and the service is really slow. We arrived at 10:25 and finally had our breakfast served at 11:25. The food was OK but definately not worth a one hour wait. There is seating inside and out. My guess is,...

I am only reviewing the restaurant. I'm not sure if this is appropriate but we only went for dinner and Jazz. We did NOT stay over in the hotel. (there was not a separate section to just review the restaurant) :) The food was excellent and the jazz on Friday night was amazing! We went in August and saw Dave...
