This had been the best B&B experience over the last 15 years. It has sadly closed effective 30 April. Having stayed here at least 18 times over the last 15 years has been a pleasure for our family and a second home to us. Thanks for the great memories !

There was a complementary glass of wine for each of us when we arrived. We chose the little room; it was very comfortable and pleasantly furnished. There was a little TV in the room, and it had a lot of stations. It was winter, and there was a fireplace. They also have a pump organ. Spent two nights leading up...

Recently my husband and I wanted to stay for 2 weeks in Columbia to visit family. Our daughter Nika was planning to join us for a few days during that visit. Karen (the innkeeper) worked with us so that all three of us were comfortable and had plenty of room. It was a great stay and now after a few...

My boyfriend and I were looking for a last minute, affordable, and decent place to stay in the Lancaster area for a quick getaway. After some extensive online research, we came upon the Columbian Inn and could not be more pleased with our experience. We stayed in The Yost Room and I would certainly recommend it, though they all looked...

The Columbian was lovely, as was our host, Karen. The antique furnishings were lovely and only enhanced by all of Karen's artistic touches! The Bishop Room was quite spacious, and up only one flight of stairs, with windows overlooking the street, and bathroom was ensuite, which we prefer. Towels were fluffy and plentiful, bed was a touch soft, but comfy....

I booked a room last minute at the Columbian for a Tuesday night. We needed a place to crash after going to show at a nearby pub. How serendipitous! Karen met me at the front door right away, quickly explained the keys/breakfast/etc, and showed me to my room. I booked the cheapest room, the Yost Room, and it was a...

We had a wonderful stay for our 32nd anniversary, wish it could have been longer. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. We came to the Columbian Inn B&B to be close to the annual Bridge Bust that takes place every October. It was only a short walk away and we had a great...

This is a great spot to use as a base for touring the Amish Country, a get-away while visiting family, or a cozy weekend for two--or even one. The innkeeper has thought of every amenity and has created a very serene and comfortable place to enjoy. Karen's breakfasts are really a treat--worth getting out of bed for!

We couldn't have chosen a better location. Our two rooms were perfect and very comfortable. We loved sitting on our back porch and watching the butterflies. And breakfast- every day a delightful surprise and just marvelous. We will come back!

My two California sisters and myself (Boston) chose the Columbian for a first ever sibling trip together to honor our mom who passed away a year ago and was born and raised in York, PA - leaving a relatives including our aunt , a retired nun who lives in Columbia. The room was perfect with one part a large sitting...

“We stayed in The Yost Room which was ideal for a young couple. Queen sized bed, private bathroom, sink and mirror located in the room (outside the bathroom), and a small television (though I doubt you'll turn that on considering all there is to do nearby).”

“Didn't really look at the other rooms, but would definitely recommend the Bishop Room. Just one tip, be sure to put the decorator shades all the way down before you turn in, as the area is somewhat bright if you don't.”

“The Yost Room was the cheapest, but felt luxurious. No matter the room and the price, you'll get a good deal and great experience.”

“I liked the room in the back --a two bedroom actually--because it had a private porch overlooking the garden. There was a second "back room" too which is away from the street. I looked at the street side rooms and it seems like with the windows closed you wouldn't be bothered by the cars on Rt. 462.”

“Go tothe near by Prudhomme's a Cajun restaurant if you like (or would like to try) New Orleans style cuisine. It was very authentic, had a laid back charm and great food. Perhaps not the best choice if you're on Weight Watchers but otherwise perfect.”
