I can only echo the comments of the last reviewer who sang her praises of the Hamanassett B&B. We just returned from a long weekend in the Brandywine Valley and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hamanassett. We have traveled extensively for the past 30 years and have stayed at many elegant properties. I would rank this one among our favorites....

My Husband and I were visiting from Dallas for a wedding. We met our sister & her husband from DC, who were returning for their second stay at the Hammanassett. Texas has a lot a great B&Bs, but this Bed & Breakfast is truly the best blend of the old and new. You have all the conveniences of the 20th...

The quaint and comfortable Meadow Cottage is thoughtfully well-equipped with absolutely everything that is desired for a memorable, relaxing vacation. However, our situation was a very different type of business trip, as compared to most traveler's. Our needs were unique. We needed a quiet, spacious home-base, while we 2 couples (in the company of our mini-schnauzer), worked round-the-clock, during our...

Ashley, you are a Great & Gracious Hostess/Innkeeper. You made our stay very enjoyable. You have your inn programed for us, as your guest, to be self sufficent. Your property with the trees, acreage and the horses makes your property unique. Ashley, your dining room is so classy and you served us a very lovely breakfast, of course Glen is...

We highly recommend Hamanassett Bed & Breakfast. It is a lovely, welcoming retreat with gracious hosts and a real sense of place. We wish we had more time to spend there and will definitely return. If you are lucky enough to stay there you will not be disappointed.

We are compelled to write about our experience at the Hamanassett, and it was not like that of most other commemnters. Towards us, the owners eemed surprisingly unwelcoming from even before we arrived. When I asked for driving directions, the comment that I was the first without a GPS had the tone of a rebuke. When we did arrive (the...

We stayed for just an all-too-brief overnight while passing through the area. Despite out short stay, Ashley's hospitality was unsurpassed. (Glenn was out of town on business.) She stayed up to let us in despite our late arrival and still took the time to show us around the historical home and welcome us into our very comfortable room and spent...

I’d like to start off by saying both my husband and I have been coming here for over six years now and we looked forward to every visit. The staff is always very nice and I feel like I am right at home and am very comfortable there. We always have a lovely time at breakfast with the other guests...

I traveled solo to the Brandywine Valley to take in some museums and gardens. I stayed three nights and my room was very comfortable and clean, as well as the bathroom. I slept very well...the area is so quiet and beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. The house is a classical antique fieldstone house, typical of the area and very...
