Ashley and Glenn, owners/operators of this very well-appointed and decorated historic property, made our stay memorable! They were both very helpful in their recommendations as to where to dine and in providing complimentary snacks, freshly baked brownies, various juices, sodas, bottled water, wine and port. Since I have several food allergies, Ashley was so very caring, considerate and accommodating in...

My wife is gluten intolerant, so finding a B&B that does gluten free right is a treasure. Hamanassett is a wonderful place, quiet and graceful, but the owners really make the difference. There is a well stocked guest pantry, with drinks and snacks. There is a decanter of sherry and a decanter of port out for a nightcap. There are fresh...

I'm so happy you enjoyed your visit to the Brandywine Valley your stay with us. I was happy to make the gluten free cookies. This was a new recipe and I used your wife as my guinea pig! Happily she said they were guest worthy so I will make them for future gluten free guests. Happy travels.

We stayed 3 nights at this lovely, historic B&B. It is ideally located in the Brandywine area convenient to all attractions and to great places to dine. Our hosts were very accommodating and helpful in planning our stay and choosing dining options. They had maps to all attractions and provided written directions and tickets as well. The room was very...

A beautiful, romantic B&B with gorgeous antiques along with modern amenities. Ashley was gracious, thoughtful and accommodating, the breakfasts were delicious, and we appreciated the free room upgrade. We're sensitive to scented candles and artificial scents in general, and Ashley was quick to extinguish the one in the entry hall when we mentioned it. The complimentary chocolate chip cookies, tea...

My boyfriend brought me here for a surprise getaway weekend. This was our first B&B so I wasn't sure what to expect. Upon entering, I was amazed! The whole house is decorated beautifully and very unique. Little did I know, my boyfriend had set up the whole weekend, prior to our arrival, with Ashley. I won't give details, but she...

I took my mom here for her birthday. This place is decorated with so much character. From the time I searched for a b&b to stay at, I knew this place was the one. Our stay was extremely pleasant. It was just like a Jane Austen book. My mother and I were greeted with freshly baked homemade cookies. The room...

So happy we were able to make your mother's birthday special. She is a lovely and delightful lady and you are so lucky to be able to enjoy traveling with her. If you can't make it in April hopefully we'll see you in the summer.

The home and property are just amazing. Decorated perfectly with a very understated charm and warmth. It really feels like home! Breakfast is a 5 star dining event at Hamanassett. Ashely and Glen are fantastic hosts who will help you make the most out of your trip, or let you do your "own thing"... however you like! For me, the...

The house is totally awesome. Mid-1850'd Federalist built by a well-to-do Philadelphia Doctor as his summer home, with tons of charm, complimentary items such as billiards (rarity!), port, sherry, and the standard coffee/tea/soda/crackers, etc. They even offered homemade cake! Several bedrooms to choose from, we chose a middle level room. Only negative comment I would make about our room was...

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day weekend/weekend away staying with Glen and Ashley. They place is absolutely beautiful, and I regret that we had made plans during the day because I would have happily sat in the sitting room reading or playing billiards while sipping on some complimentary brandy or port. I can imagine that in the summer sitting out...
