I think the bed in Springhouse 2 was the most comfortable I've ever slept in, including my own! The innkeepers and staff were very friendly and helpful, and the inn is in a great location for surrounding attractions. We loved the fireplace and deck, and walked out to the adirondack chairs for another look at the surrounding countryside. Breakfast was delicious,...

On these two stays, my sixth and seventh, I really appreciated the thermostats in each room that could be individually controlled by guests, especially given wild temperature swings from Mother Nature. If you are a sensitive sleeper as I am, it means a lot to keep the room at a temperature that suits you. The heating/cooling system is quiet and...

We took advantage of the March special to reserve two nights and get the third night free so were able to stay in a nicer, larger suite. The Carriage Suite 2 is a beautifully appointed 2 room suite with a large bathroom and separate commode/shower area. There is a beautiful outside balcony with a table and two chairs for a...

Romantic X 100!! Love, love, love Fairville Inn Bed and Breakfast! Perfect choice for those who appreciate the finer things in life, set in a very relaxed yet refined setting! We were drawn to this B&B through a Travelzoo two night special. With so many places of interest nearby it's location was perfect. Our room was in the main house. It was very large...queen bed, highboy, 2 comfortable chairs and a desk! The exterior French door led to a private deck and view of the rear of the property. The...

This was our first visit to the Fairville Inn and we were not disappointed. Our hosts were very accommodating; the room was spacious with a gas fireplace and a porch overlooking their five acres of fields and forest. The afternoon tea was a plus, and there are a number of restaurants in the area to choose from for dinner. It...

Spent a single night in the back of the main house on second floor. Likes: spacious bedroom, comfy bed, quiet (no road noise). Dislikes: carpet, weird whimpering noise of in-wall vacuum system when in use in other rooms, tiny bathroom with minimal counter space and dirty grout between tiles. Excellent food for breakfast - we had omelettes. The afternoon tea...

We very much appreciate the wonderful comments about breakfast and afternoon tea, the spaciousness of the room, and the location of the inn. Thank you. The Main House is the original 1820s Pennsylvania stone/brick/stucco farmhouse that was converted into a B&B in the mid-1980s – long before our tenure as innkeepers. We suspect that the original owner/innkeepers and architects wanted...

My fiancée and I stayed here for a weekend as a little get away from the hustle of our normal DC lives. We arrived a few minutes before check-in time, but that did not cause any issues. We were welcomed into the main house to take care of a few logistics, and were then led to our respective room -...

We appreciate the wonderful comments about Carriage House #3 (it is Rick’s personal favorite room). A brief note about alcohol in Pennsylvania: If a restaurant does not offer a full service bar, the cost for a liquor license cost is economically prohibitive. That is why many of our smaller and better restaurants are BYOB – which actually is much more...

We've been before so we knew what to expect. We were not disappointed. Friendly. Lovely quiet B&B. Carriage house suite is our fav. Large room with balcony and privacy. Close to Longwood, Winterthur and brandwine river museum.

We've stayed at many B&Bs and, unfortunately, were disappointed with Fairville. We stayed in Carriage House 1 that we were told was the "bridal suite". For the amount of money we paid (due to the holiday), we don't feel it was a good value only because we've stayed in much nicer places for that amount. It had a musty smell...

We and our staff work hard every day to provide our guests the personal service and experience they expect. Our individually decorated rooms offer our guests “elegant country” accommodations. Of our 15 rooms, two are suites. Each suite is spacious with an adjoining sitting room. These guests did not reserve a suite. We do not have a “Bridal Suite” and...
