My mate and I stayed a few days at the resort just for the heck of it having returned to Western PA from 15 years in SC, and in great need of a change in geography. The stay was fine and dandy with few exceptions. It's a two hour or so drive from Pittsburgh, either on the PA Tpk or via the historic Lincoln Highway, and it's obviously close to the town of Bedford with, thankfully, a variety of eating establishments. Valet parking is including in the price and, for an extra fee, you can have your car parked in front of the main entrance. Most fancy car owners choose to do that. I have a fancy car, but prefer parking it myself. I did that in the closest lot up a hill, in the dirt and grass, a long hike from the hotel. Take your choice. I like exercise. We got a nice room with a good frontal view and porch in the new section of the hotel. It was terrific. Easy access to the outdoor pool and gym, close enough to the indoor pool, and close to shopping, bike rentals and the golf course's club house. Pricey, but worth it, although I'm not familiar with the less expensive accommodations. Breakfast is not included in your fee. The best deal is a breakfast burrito or the like at the coffee shop. Very good. A buffet is available in the top end restaurant. About $30pp for the usual fare. No unlimited smoked salmon or other exotic fare. The same venue is available for dinner, with commensurate pricing. The Frontier Tavern is the middle choice. It's okay, but not up to the standards of Omni, in my opinion. The nearby Jean Bonnet Tavern is a better choice, but obviously less convenient. The hotel reeks of history. Take the time to read everything on the walls. Exercise oriented? The trails around and about the 'big hill' across the road are great, up and down. Danger oriented? Up past the parking lots are bike trails. I hiked every day but left my mountain bike at home. Net time I'll take it along and try not to kill myself. Do the hiking trails, starting with the 'blue' one. Spend some time in Bedford. Chill out. Overall, it was a fine three days or so, for a couple of thousand bucks, but like I said, what the heck? We'll go back in a minute.

Hotel's Favourite
We have been staying at Bedford Springs for years...Despite current events - we decided to take a last minute trip. Christina Z. (Loyalty Ambassador) was exceptionally helpful and made our trip extra special! Liz in the Tavern was our server twice and we enjoyed every minute of great service - great food - and great atmosphere! 🇺🇸 Staff were all around awesome despite some apparent staffing woes! Cant get enough of Bedford Springs history and Bedford businesses! Highly recommend!! (Have to add...there was a lobby attendant named Julian that was like a one man work force...I would see him cleaning at the indoor pool (which is awesome)...then in the Anderson House delivering food then vacuuming the hallways in front of the shops...Kudos Julian! He was always pleasant and professional!)

We stayed in March 2021--right in the midst of the pandemic--so we weren't sure what to expect. I did feel like the staff was taking as many precautions as they could regarding COVID. The bed was comfortable, the room and bathrooms were nice! It is an old historical building. It was SO confusing to find the room. After we parked our car in the parking lot behind the building, we could not figure out how to get back to our room. It is NOT intuitive at all. Definitely need the map. The staff was really nice and accommodating though.

Dear eldosokyjl, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, we're sorry to hear you had trouble finding your way around the resort. The resort is certainly a different historic layout as they years when on they built in length instead of in height connecting the buildings as they went. We truly appreciate your patience regarding the historic layout and thrilled we exceeded your expectations with our customer service. We hope you will have the opportunity to join us again soon for another getaway. Thank you, Dave Nostrand General Manager Omni Bedford Springs Resort

The Omni Bedford Springs was hyped up to me, so I was excited to stay there in conjunction with a conference. Unfortunately, I would not personally recommend this hotel to anyone. It is located in the middle of nowhere, so even though there are in/out privileges with valet, there is no reason you’d ever need to get your car. There is literally nowhere to go. Unless you are coming to play golf, I’m not sure what the draw would be here. Certainly not the outdoor pool which is closed or the spa which charges an exorbitant $200 for a 50min massage. Also not for the restaurants which, based on my experience with the food, were subpar. The grounds are very pretty, but the rooms are old and screaming for renovation. Please don’t misread this as someone who doesn’t appreciate a historic hotel. I just stayed at the historic Hotel del Coronado last week in California, and that hotel is from the 1800s. It, however, received a five-star review from me because it is well-kept while also being quaint and historic. The Omni Bedford Springs rooms are not well-kept. There was paint chipping and scuffing across the entire room. The upholstery on all of the furniture was stained, and I wondered about cleanliness. What’s worse is that there was no desk available to work at. There was a tiny little table, the size of a dinner plate, next to one of the stained armchairs but nothing you could sit at with a plugged-in laptop. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel. I travel a lot and appreciate historic charm, but this is not it.

my husband and i went for our 49th anniversary. i am a smoker and saw it was a none smoking facility before going i called to ask if they had a designated smoking area and i was told they did. we got there it was pouring down rain. while being checked in i asked where the smoking area was i was told outside i asked where they said away from the hotel i said it was pouring you expect me to go out there after being told there was areas she said if you want to smoke you stand in the rain. we waited over three hours for our luggage to be brought to our room. went to breakfast the next morning and it seemed most did not have a clue what they were doing. i called the manager and he kept saying i am sorry offered no resolution then had the gaul to ask if he could help with anything else. for what the resort costs i expected fas better treatment.
