The overall experience at the Mark Spencer was superb. Small, well located hotel with caring and friendly staff. Nice sized room at a reasonable rate, clean. Better yet, the room had a separate living area, allowing for one person to be up reading while the other slept.

Our stay at the Mark Spencer was perfect. The rooms were nicely appointed with very comfortable beds. All the staff was extremely accommodating and pleasant to work with, especially in giving advice for touring the city. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting, and the tea and cookies in the afternoon. The breakfast offered a nice variety of healthy choices. We...

A totally wonderful experience in a hotel that's out of the ordinary. The staff was fantastic and the location was perfect. I cannot express enough just how well put together and maintained that this hotel is.

We enjoyed a romantic weekend in Portland and the Mark Spencer was a perfect fit. Located on the west side it was walking distance to most everything you could want. We had a room on the 5th floor facing SW 11th Avenue. Ours had a king bed with a sitting area, a kitchenette and a nice little bathroom. It is...

We've staying in Portland numerous times but this our first at Mark Spencer. And we will definitely stay again. Room great (218). The bed was heavenly. Very dog friendly. Wine reception, cookies. And great location. You can walk to everything from here

We stayed here one night, spur of the moment, after and Amtrak train delay and it was just right. The first room we were assigned had drapes that did not close (they were new) and they upgraded us to a suite which was nice. The facilities are recently refurbished with comfortable firm bed, cushy towels and fairly quiet given the...

My family spent the weekend at the Mark Spencer Hotel and had a great time. The hotel was attractive, very clean, and the staff was helpful, courteous, and professional. I stayed here with my husband and 6 year old daughter and every one felt comfortable and had fun.

The location was perfect for walking to many Portland areas. The hotel was clean and the employees were friendly. The amenities were wonderful- excellent breakfast, fun wine and cheese hour and it was nice to have a cookie in the afternoon. The staff was helpful with recommendations and tips.

I stayed here for the Write The Docs conference. I upgraded to the Master Suite, and it was amazing. Coming from the CA Bay Area, the master suite is bigger than most 1 bedroom apartments. The hotel is located in a great area, close to lots of fun Portland-y things.

Well situated near downtown and Pearl District. Chic, quiet, spotless, New York Times at your door each morning. Wifi at times slow and glitchy. Continental breakfast a little unimaginative but overall experience very satisfying. Would definitely recommend.
