Came to visit on a combined business and getaway to Portland. We had a lovely time. We loved our room; the staff is gracious and helpful. The location can't be beaten. Our special thanks to Scott at the front desk.

Dear jdl927, I am happy you were able to have some leisure time while visiting our beautiful city, and I can't agree more about Scott, he (as with the rest of the team) is fantastic and a wealth of knowledge about our region! Thank you for the review and stay, Steve Hurst General Manager

We had a really good time. The room and view were great and the valet was very quick getting our car! The room service was better than expected too. The workout room was small but effective. We would definitely stay here again. The only bad things were the pillows and mattress wasn't too comfortable.

Dear ChrissySTaylor, I am happy to read that you enjoyed your stay, of note we do have three different mattress types in our hotel, so we can make sure you have one that might be more comfortable for you. I hope you return, and when you do please let us know and we will go through some options for you...

Short version for fellow TA members. If you're one person or two people who only want a room for a night or two, a regular room in the Heathman will work just fine. But if you stay longer, you might want to consider another hotel or opt for one of the pricier Heathman rooms. We agree with other posters: service...

Dear ParkSloper, What a fantastic and well thought out review, thank you! As the result of some of the recent comments about washcloths I have spoken with the housekeeping staff and made sure they are placing (at least) two washcloths in every room. It was never our intent to reduce the count to one, but I assure you we have...

My wife, 6 month old and myself stayed three nights in a symphony suite. This was the most amazing stay of our 3 week road trip. From the time you get out of the car and are greeted to check in and the entire stay. Service couldn't be any better. They are top notch. Rooms are clean, spacious and the...

My husband and I booked on line. We had room 304, Petite Deluxe for two nights. We reserved on line using the hotel website for both stays. The linens for both the bath and the bed are wonderful. The bed is wonderful. A chef's kettle is present and ground coffee with a french press and measuring spoon and three tea...

Dear msl50birm, I admire your detail and commitment to writing reviews, while I would prefer a five star review every time I can certainly appreciate the effort you have put fourth. As a large 6'4" tall man myself I understand your comment about the door size to the bathroom in a petite deluxe room, while it is certainly big enough...

We have always enjoyed staying at the Heathman. The rooms are nice, and the hotel has a lot of character. The restaurant is above average, and the staff is helpful. It is a great location, and reasonably close to the downtown mall, and other attractions. The Symphony Hall is next door, and Portland State University is within a few blocks....

Dear jimbob1101, Thank you for your stay and review, I am thrilled to hear you enjoyed our hotel, service staff and location. We made the move a few years ago to change bed linens on request in an effort to be more eco-aware and at the request of many guests, that said if you place the bedside card on your...

I stayed here for one night for a business trip. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was large with a comfortable bed, nice desk, extra chairs, place for your luggage, free wifi.....all very clean and well appointed. Lounge was small but nice at night and had live entertainment which was very good. My only complaint is the size...

Dear NHElau, Thank you for your stay and this review. I am happy you enjoyed all the character our hotel displays and the interactions with our fantastic and thoughtful staff. We've stayed here over last 25 years and haven't been disappointed, ever. Hotel is currently undergoing some management changes so we were prepared for some glitches but everything was perfect during our two night stay.
