We booked a private room through Booking.com. We got a friendly welcome, were given lots of useful recommendations and information and shown to our wonderful room. It was large and cool (it was hot outside) and had a comfortable bed. The shared bathroom was just down the hallway and was clean and had a great shower. We also had use...

I won't come back. Great location but parking near impossible. Staff are not friendly. I stayed in room 11 which has a toilet room on one side and a shower room on the other. Fine if you don't mind being woken early. They do supply a light breakfast though.

This hostel's building is a little decadent, and staff was not as friendly with us as it seems to have been to other people here. The location, however, is perfect, and the rooms, spacious and comfortable. There is no organized breakfast, but you can use the kitchen.

We spent 4 days in that hostel. The service was perfect, all the womans in charge of th hostel were really nice and helpful. They were ready to help anytime! We slept in 3 different bedrooms because it was almost full when we decided to reserve but we could compare sleeping in a private room and in a share room....

My cousin and I spent several nights here in a coed dorm room. The staff was super from the beginning of our stay until the end. My flight home was cancelled and they were very flexible in helping me stay an extra night. I shared a private room, located in an adjacent house, with another guest who had been a...

Book this hostel. Why? It's located exactly where you want to be. I mean, PDX is a pretty easy city to navigate from the jump, but it helps that this hostel is a couple blocks from 23rd and the Pearl District. A 6 minute walk to Powell's Bookstore and then a ten minute walk to a major collection of food...

This hostel has the best location of all the hostels in the city. Close to the pearl district and 23rd ave. The staff are super nice and friendly. The bathrooms have a cool system of using washcloths as single use towels. The soap dispenser in the bathroom closest to my dorm stopped working and I let the staff know but...

I didn't expect much when we found out how cheap it was per night that I would feel so safe and have so many amenities at my disposal. I was most worried about leaving important things like my laptop in my room while I was gone, but there's personal lockers with locks you can borrow plus the rooms lock. The...

If you are traveling through Portland, especially on your own, you really need to check out this hostel. Tucked away in a spectacular neighborhood in northwest portland, its walking distance to many bars, restaurants and even the Timbers' soccer stadium. If you've never stayed in a hostel, its really an experience everyone needs to do at least once in their...
