This was a horrible experience! When we arrived we found out they had displaced us to another hotel with out notifying us beforehand. They said they had a block of 40 rooms that came in so they displaced us to make room for them. They...More

Liz at front desk was so helpful and friendly about making sure we got the best possible room for our needs. So appreciate it her genuine concern and kindness! She even loaned us her personal phone charger. Above and beyond!
I'm a Marriott Platinum member who always uses Marriott. I should have checked the reviews. The hotel is just fine. Exactly what you would expect from Fairfield. Clean rooms, small pool, nice breakfast, good front desk service, room upgrade for my rewards level. Plenty of...More
I just can’t think of much good to say about this hotel. I guess staff were friendly and the attendant at the morning breakfast was particularly bright and helpful but that’s about it.
First and foremost the location was bad. The Fairfield and a Courtyard...More

Hi Ken, thank you for providing your feedback. The staffing challenges we experienced were a direct result of the snow accumulations we had during the week of your stay. In response to this type of event we had a few rooms at each hotel for...More

The yellow line (expo center) using max rail takes you into downtown Portland where you can transfer to other lines if needed. Convenient, inexpensive way to get around in a city with lots of traffic, especially during rush hour. I found getting to the actual Expo transit stop from the hotel to be a bit confusing (paved walking path, then cross a major freeway pass with a cross walk) but once you figure it out, it is fine. Better directions from the front desk would help. Check the Portland max rail line maps on line. You will see how the lines intersect and can check rates. Some kiosks take paper money/coins, others only take charge cards.

Thank you for enquiring about the Fairfield Inn and Suites North Harbour. The walking path to the light rail is very well lit in most areas. the first 100 yards of the path coming from the hotel doesn't have any lighting except for the hotel lights facing it.
Please let me know if there is anything else we can do for you.
