This was our last stop of a 10 day road trip. We booked it last minute and were pleasantly surprised, it was like coming home. Jody was a great hostess, the room was clean (The Den), cozy and the bed was exceptional, we didn't want to leave! The location isn't right downtown, but there's a bunch of great pubs in...

Management response:

I'm delighted you felt at home staying with us....that's exactly what we hope for with this cozy Victorian! Thank you for being kind enough to let me know you enjoyed everything, from our exceptional beds to the easy, inexpensive access to Downtown. It means a lot, we'll look forward to having back! Until then, Jody R., Owner

Jody decided it was good idea to cook ceviche with the house closed up - the whole place smelled awful for days. The bathrooms were filthy, the shower didn't work, bedroom door lock not even close to safe and there is no parking at the street.

Management response:

It's very important to me that the inn stays clean and comfortable, so I apologize that the garlic from the ceviche bothered you and that the shower door is a little tight and needs a good pull to close tight. As to the bathrooms, those should stay spotless, so I'll check to make sure they're getting the deep clean and...

Great hostess, great location, great breakfast and great value! Jody is the star of the show, giving her guests just the right amount of attention and hospitality. As a bed & breakfast owner for 30 years, I can recommend this lodging to anyone traveling to Portland.

We stayed there 3 nights. The house was nice but the room was alright but the sofa and things in the room left us no space even to put our clothes. Jody made breakfast for us. The bathroom's door was not working--could not close but we used the hot tub downstairs instead. A convenient to stay and walk to the...

We stayed at the Painted Lady Inn on our drive south from Vancouver, BC. We reserved the cottage, which was spacious, pleasantly appointed and affordable. It included shabby chic couches and a fully-stocked kitchen with a French press, which Jody, the proprietress, readied for us after checking us in. The cottage was within walking distance to several restaurants and a...

The bed and breakfast was for one night and was enjoyable with a healthy breakfast served in the main dining area . Quiet and comfortable close to most amenities. I enjoyed this beautiful old Victorian style home decorated with antiques. The core theme were several authentic oil paintings of ladies which correlated to the name of the Inn.

We made confirmed reservations here over 6 months ago for the beginning of August and she cancelled our reservation mid May when she got a larger group to book. We are now stuck trying to find accommodations for four in the city of Portland with little time!

My apologies for canceling her reservation, but I did offer to help her book alternate at a lovely BnB just around the corner, but the only room that would accomodate their party of three. When I suggested alternate option/needs for accommodation she replied by threatening me by contacting a business attorney and informing me that, having done so, she expected...

A friend and I booked a room for one night. Walking inside was like walking into a time machine - kind of a cool experience. The decor was very vintage and made the place feel very cozy. The room was clean and comfortable. There were a few negatives. First, there is only street parking and was difficult to find a...
