Firstly the good. The staff were very helpful and informative, knew alot about the area. Went out of their way to provide a crib. The breakfast was simple but good enough. The bad, even at a cheap (for DT Portland) $115 p/night it felt expensive for the condition of the place. It was clean enough but some serious maintenance needs...

Thank you for your kind words regarding our staff. We have 19 rooms and 11 parking spots, but with blocking our driveway(which the City is ok with) and parking on the grass, we are able to accommodate most of the time. Street parking is available, but if they are quick to give you a ticket if you are parked past...

If you are searching for the Waldorf Astoria, keep looking. But if you want a place that is reasonably priced, very clean, and conveniently located and has the most-welcoming, warm and helpful receptionist/innkeeper you will ever find, hurry here. Rita is wonderful, she knows just about everything, and her recommendations are spot on. Ask for room 204 with a king...

Very friendly owner to greet us when we checked in. The room is very clean and has extra towels for my family of three. The wifi is free and has good connections. This location is near the street, but it is very quiet inside the room. We are just about 50 feet away from the famous Portland Food Carts. There...

We stayed two nights. The room was rather small, but it was very clean and included a microwave and fridge as well as a comfortable bed. The motel is close to Portland State and it is across the street from a variety of food carts, so a variety of foods are available -- and delicious. And the woman who checked...

It was a pleasure having you stay with us. Thank you for your kind words. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Just to clarify to others, Parking is not free at the lot next door, however, there is street parking that is free from 7pm-7am adjacent to the motel. I have had guests choose to park next door...

We rolled into Portland looking for a room after seven pm on a Friday night. You have to be realistic about your options in this type of situation. Prices were not available, so we just pulled up and asked at the desk. The room was pricy, $180 a night for single king bed, two people. Tax made it $190. But...

Thank you for your kind words. The tax rate in Portland is 12.5%, which makes your $180.00 room to be $202.50. It is going up to 13.3% starting July 1. We do not intentionally try to hide any costs from you. Unfortunately, due to our limited space in our lot, we have 11 spaces and 19 rooms, we are forced...

Our room had a mini fridge and microwave. a/c worked well. Quiet area of downtown even though close to university. Hotel could be furnished a bit better, and there was a tiny bit...

The City Center Econo Lodge is a good value in downtown. It's small and simple, but the location and price is competitive for downtown Portland. Our room was clean enough and could use some maintenance (peeling paint in the bathroom, missing lightbulbs, etc.), but the bed was very comfortable, sheets and towels clean & okay, and the location is surprisingly...

I reserved a room online and when I got there they let me know they would be charging me an additional parking fee. Not cool. That should be made known ahead of time. I compared prices for a reason. There were cheaper places.
