The color scheme is "exotic," utilizing four bright colors. The colors catch you off guard, but they are coordinated. After you get past the colors, I rate this as one of the most "thoughtful" hotels we have stayed in. They have machines that brew fresh ground coffee 24/7, a tasty, balanced breakfast, and we had the delight of a wine...

Hi Tony, Thank YOU for this “thoughtful” review! We are thrilled to hear that you had such a great time staying with us. Really sounds like you got to experience all the ins and outs of the hotel and we are especially happy you made it to our weekly Wine Down Wednesday reception. Thank you also for your comments about...

We have stayed at this hotel many times. We love it because it has a kitchen so we can make our own food, is roomy, but is also in a great neighborhood next to shops and restaurants. They also have a free parking lot (unlike the downtown hotels), which makes parking the rental car super convenient. The staff are friendly...

We originally selected the inn for its reasonable price (for Portland anyhow) and the fact itwas on the trolley line. Turned out to be a whole lot more. Th rooms are large suites with a full kitchen. Vanity in bath is too small, but that appears to be the current standard for most hotels. The retro decor is straight out...

I was planning to stay closer to the river but the idea of paying over $200 for a room and then having to pay $27 to park my rental car forced me to look for other options. I was glad I did because the Inn at Northrup Station was perfect. The suite, complete with kitchen, gave us plenty of room...

A little expensive, but nonetheless good value for your money. If your a budget traveler there are a lot of cheaper options in Portland. However if you want stay in a trendy, clean and well maintained hotel in NW Portland then I do recommend the Inn at Northrup Station. Staff very accommodating and helpful. Continental breakfast provided was more then adequate!...

Great location right on tram line with very good breakfast and lots of nice touches (such as an unexpected wine tasting and the live tram time display). However had a glitch with booking via one of the third party sites displayed by TripAdviser. The hotel didn't have a record of our second night's pre-paid booking and were not interested in...

Anyone of a certain age will remember the Modern Madcap cartoons, with the bright colors and the strange shapes. Visually, staying at the Inn at Northrup Station is just like being in one of those cartoons. We had a blast! Our room was huge, with a full kitchen (even a dishwasher) and a small balcony. Breakfast had lots of options...

Staff was helpful. Streetcar in front of hotel. Colorful cheery place to stay. Easy strolls to 21st and 23rd Streets - chock full of shops and restaurants. $50 cab fare to and from airport (including tip). Would stay here again in a heartbeat. They include breakfast in the morning, saltwater taffy during the day!

Highly recommended, cool trendy place. About a 30 minute walk to Portland Union Station and close to restaurants along the way. We will stay here again during our next layover in Portland. (We stay here on our way to Glacier Park by train).
