Not only is this a superb Inn, but the location is tough to beat. First, it's on Portland's streetcar line that allows us to easily get to the Pearl and downtown area without having to rely on street level park.Second, we love to hit up Sterling Coffee, Ken's Artisan Bakery, and

We enjoyed our stay at Inn at Northrup Station very much. The room was wonderful and a pleasant surprise as we did not know there was a kitchen in the room. Desk person said the King rooms have a kitchen and other rooms have a kitchenette.

Thank you for staying with us and we appreciate your review! Yes, all of our King Suites (most of our hotel) have the full kitchens and we renovated last year with the stainless appliances and that beautiful granite counter top. The other room type our Double Queen Suites (we have 12 of those) have a kitchenette with a smaller fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a sink. We love being able to offer this to traveling guests and the nearby New Seasons Market has everything one would need to cook a delicious meal. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope to get the opportunity to welcome you back on a future trip to Portland. Happy holidays and take care! Kindly, Misty

Hi Mary, Thank you for staying with us and for your review! We value guest feedback and I will pass the kind words along to our staff. That's great you had the chance to hike nearby in Forest Park and walk to the Saturday Market. If you haven't had a chance to explore the Portland Japanese Gardens you might also enjoy that on your next trip. They are stunning in the spring when all the cherry blossoms are in bloom. We hope you and your sisters had safe travels home and look forward to welcoming you on your next visit to Portland. Happy Holidays and take care! Kindly, Misty

I stayed here for 2 nights with family. The hotel is a renovated building that used to be efficiency apartments, now individual rooms with kitchens or kitchenettes (ours had sink, dishwasher, coffee maker and microwave, YMMV). The hotel's recently been updated and the facilities

Hello! We just booked a room at this lovely place, which we look forward to visit. I just noticed some of the rooms seem to have a connecting door to an adjacent room. Are those doors insulated in any way? How are the rooms soundproofed in general? I'm asking because we've had some bad experiences in other hotels with connecting doors in the past, so I just need to clear this up :)
Hi had no connecting door in our room, definitely no sound problems, a really great room.

I don’t think I understand completely what the parking arrangements are... is there a parking lot that belongs to the hotel or do you have to park car on the street ? Is it safe ?
Thanks for the inquiry about parking! Yes we do have free parking on the property and while we suggest never leaving valuables in your car, our parking lot is well lit and away from the street. We look forward to having you as our guest!

We will be coming to Portland for about a week at Thanksgiving time. We are 4 adults and 1 small child. Do you have any units appropriate for that many people? If not, perhaps adjoining units or a suite?
Yes we do have rooms with two queen beds that connect to a king bed suite. There are also sleeper sofas in every room, full in the king rooms and double in the queen rooms!

Hi, Thanks for your review. I am traveling with my daughter next Spring to look at the college there. Do you recommend for a 4 day stay? Is the walking easy to Portland State? Thanks, Monica
Hi Monica! Portland is an abundant city for activities, and typically only a 45 minute drive to major natural attractions just outside of the city. Our Inn is located on the streetcar line, which also goes right through the campus for Portland State! It's super easy for prospective students to check out the campus, then check out the city! Feel free to email me at events@northrupstation if you'd like more specific recommendations. We look forward to hosting you! James S.

My boyfriend and I will be there in July. What is the most convenient way to Washington Park and Downtown? Are there shuttles from the inn or metro?
Hello Mayra! The Portland Streetcar picks up in front of the hotel and takes you through the Pear District and SW quadrant of downtown. From there, it's an easy hop onto the Max train (larger version of the streetcar), and it'll take you straight to Washington Park, and our beautiful Rose Gardens! If you need additional navigation help, our front desk staff is very knowledgeable in getting around. We look forward to your stay! James S.
