Wonderful place to stay for our weekend in Portland. The staff went beyond the call of duty to make our stay comfortable & memorable. Besides everything noted in the title of this review, we really appreciate that the prices you see on the Paramount's website are the actual price

I have stayed there many times over the years and this is to confirm it remains my preferred hotel in Portland. The location is excellent for downtown. The rooms are quiet. The staff are friendly, efficient and welcoming.

The room was comfortable and clean. Concierge and Valet attendant were very helpful. View of park and nearby buildings was nice, but got noisy in the morning with traffic and crosswalk audio signs. Overall, a great place to stay next to some wonderful theaters!

A1 staff, from valet to front desk and restaurant/bar all were friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable of the area. Room was clean, modern , and well equipped. Would have liked two lounge chairs vs just the one. Loved the walk in shower, as stepping over a tub rim is unstable for

The Paramount is in a very central location to walking all over downtown Portland. It is in a clean, safe area. The staff were very helpful in directing us to restaurants. If you have a car it is easy to get on the highway from the hotel. The rooms were very quiet and clean. I wo

Hello, we will be visiting and staying at The Paramount Hotel over the holidays. The weather projects rain and light snow, do you provide hotel umbrellas for guests or should we bring our own. Thank you. Looking forward to our visit!
Hello Katykao, No need to pack an umbrella, we have them available to borrow at the front desk. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

We intend on renting a car during our trip. Does the hotel provide parking ? Is there a surcharge ? If we have to leave the car in a parking lot how much does that usually cost?
hotel charge is $49/day, self park a block away is $20/day.

Regarding the Paramount Hotel guest who reported a bed bug incident, please provide their hotel room number? I also stayed there over this past weekend and have 3 bites on my left leg.
Hi ednabear7, Thank you for your question. The guest who posted the review about bugs stayed in room 1101 and the photos she sent us were of carpet beetles and have been treated. Hotels live in fear of bed bugs and because we do, we train our cleaning staff and managers to always be on the lookout for signs of them. I am able to personally inspect most rooms where we have received complaints and have not found a bed bug in a room in the last few years. When we get a complaint, we quarantine the room and start a very thorough process of searching. If nothing is found, all linens and pillows are put in the dryers as an extra precaution as the heat will kill anything and then we bring in a pest control company to re-inspect and then treat the room as an additional precaution. If something is found, we bring in a company which will essentially put all the room contents in a hot box and superheat it for a day. If you have concerns, you should always address them with the hotel immediately. It is equally important to us as I’m sure it is to you that we are bug free. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have further concerns. Sincerely, Norm Hwa General Manager 503.276.1764

What's the best way to get to the Paramount from the airport?
Take the train! Cab/Uber/Lyft all the way downtown from the airport is going to be a very expensive ride, I would agree probably $30-50. MAX Red Line leaves right from the airport (just outside the south end of baggage claim) and gets you downtown in 35 minutes. Get off at the Galleria/SW 10th station and you are literally two short Portland blocks (about 500 feet) from the Paramount. Fare is $2.50 for adults aged 18-64, half that for seniors and minors. Make sure to buy your ticket on the platform before you board. Machines take both cash and cards.

"The higher the floor the better, for views and quiet."
"All rooms are quiet and all floors have a great layout, so I don't think it matters at all what room you have."
"Upper rooms are quiet."
"15th floor peaceful, kept fan on all night for white noise, Gilchrist and Soames body products 👍"
"We had a corner room, and the incoming light was nice. We were on the 12th floor, away from street noise, just wonderful. "
