This B&B is without a doubt the best place to stay in Portland, The home itself is wonderful surrounded by the most beautiful cultivated gardens, the rooms are all very unique and decorated tastefully with such attention to detail, The owners Terry and Al are a great couple who went out of their way to make us feel at home,...

I was traveling to Portland on business and found this bed and breakfast on trip advisor. Traveling as a single female, I always try to find a B & B where I get to know the hosts, and feel safer than I do in a hotel. That being said, this is a wonderful place. Terry and Al are lovely, lovely...

My husband and I travelled to Portland for a long weekend and found this b&b on TripAdvisor. Our room was cozy, clean and spacious. The property is beautiful and located on a hill overlooking the neighborhood. Al was friendly and we loved the breakfast they served. Highly recommended it.

This is a beautifully restored home managed by warm and friendly hosts. We stayed in the Summer Garden room for two nights in October for a birthday weekend. Al and Terry served delicious breakfasts each morning. Only about 20 minutes from downtown Portland, we enjoyed the well-maintained, park-like setting. Highly recommended!

I stayed here with my girlfriend for our annual trip. We stayed in the Secret Garden room since this room was actually two rooms, so we each had our own room. The rooms are a little smaller than what the photo indicates, but the bathroom was large. The tub/shower was claw foot tub. Each room has its own window air...

Of all the B & B's we've stayed at, Sandes of Time is, without question, the best. The hosts, Al and Terry make it all look effortless, and yet everything has been thought of and no detail overlooked. The breakfasts were great. The grounds are beautiful and reminiscent of an English garden. The rooms are cozy and perfectly appointed with...

This is a fantastic property. The owners, Al and Terry, are very gracious hosts. Al gave us the grand tour when we arrived and he has such pride (as he should) in the renovation of the home and landscaping. Terry served a wonderful breakfast and took great care of us. My husband and I loved our stay here and would...

Beautiful, immaculate, romantic room and delicious gourmet breakfast. Add very friendly hosts and you have a perfect place to relax. Lots of Victorian splendor: claw foot tub, high canopy bed, tons of lovely antiques. Highly recommended!

This is one of those rare B&B's that stands out from the rest and well deserves its equally rare perfect five star rating. A large 115 year old house on a hilltop, it has been lovingly restored to Victorian era elegance by the owners, Terry and Al, from what was apparently a very dilapidated condition when they bought it years...

I can't say enough nice things about this bed & breakfast! The hosts, Terri and Al, are delightful people. The grounds are beautifully kept, with colorful flowers, topiaries, and both native and exotic (to me, anyway) trees. They renovated an older house and turned it into a homey, comfortable place to stay. The bedrooms are all on the top floor...
