Quite an unusual hotel structure. Upon entering the lobby there is a circular small desk which is the reception area. As is typical of Portland, mostly young people handling the registration and questions, but done efficiently. Also in the lobby of the hotel, is a bar frequently with live music, and in the back corner of the registration area, a...

Have stayed twice and each was pleasant, rooms nicely done etc BUT the one thing I had issue with is the bed was so worn in, each moring I got up by back was killing me. A fellow traveler in another room made the same comment, so it wasn't just my room. Thus while it is a nice place the...

What a nice change from the typical airport hotel. Room was great, well thought out and contemporary in design. Lobby, reception, and bar were accessible and friendly. Only sorry I had an early flight- would have liked to stay longer.

Hey, I'm as hip as the next guy but give me a little comfort please. The Aloft Hotel at the Portland Airport is a convenient location if you are catching a early morning or recovering from a late night flight. However, you will find every surface in your room to be hard, cold, and angular. You'll notice that you get...

We are so glad you had a chance to enjoy our bar and live music. We always have fun music going on Friday and Saturday nights. We hope you had a chance to lounge and relax with us. Thank you so much for your feedback. We know our savvy modern design isn’t for everyone and we appreciate your opinion. Thanks...

I was on a business trip to Portland yesterday which was going to finish up late, so I had to spend the night. I checked Tripadvisor.com with my companies' travel website, and found that aloft was the highest-rated hotel that my company allowed, so I made reservations. True to other reviewer's comments, the entry, lobby and rooms all appeared modern...

My daughter thought it was "cool" - I thought it was interesting. Bed was comfortable and only heard the planes a few times in the night. Loudly. Free water and great magazines in the nicely room. Snooty people working the desk and overpriced coffee - but the overall rates were good. Nice, prompt shuttle. If I were 30 years younger...

Don't get me wrong...aLoft properties are NOT the Westin or the "W" but they are like the, hip, clean and friendly cousin...on a budget. This location is very convenient. Proximity to PDX (check), Food and shopping within walking distance (check), public transportation out side your back door (check) and tons of parking. Staff has been above expectations (which, mind you...

This is a truly unique brand of the "W" hotels that is different from every other chain. From the time I entered the lobby, the live music (which was actually very good) told me this was going to be a fun experience. The loft style room was great for a change in routine....however, it would not work well with family...

Almost identical to the Aloft in Bangkok, especially the rooms. Modern, compact but still felt spacious. Clean, bright & heard no airplane noise even though it's near the airport. Easy to get into the city by car & loved all the shopping nearby. Staff was very friendly & accommodating. We listened to music in the lobby one evening. Would definitely...

The large windows and loft style ceilings give the rooms a spacious feel, and we’re so glad you noticed. There’s always something happening here and we are glad you got a chance to hear some live music at Wxyz. Thanks for your feedback! We really appreciate it! We have stayed at the Hyatt Place and the Carlson at PDX, and now Aloft. At the others, an early morning flight out was no problem: nice breakfast box that they hand you on your way out the door. The Aloft, however, is trying to be self service: no free breakfast (and no gluten free options in the items they...
