Why is the remote always under the TV and not beside the bed? Why is the cord on the coffee-maker always so tightly wound? Why are the decaf packets not the expected orange colour (early in the AM I need to make coffee without putting on my glasses!) These and other mysteries of hotel stays have been vexing me for...

We stayed here for the weekend on my first trip to Portland. Our main goal in Portland was to check out the best places to eat and drink. Everyone at the hotel was extremely attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the city and it attractions. The concierge was especially great. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The proximity to the...

We stay at Modera everytime we come to Portland, which is several times a year. We didn't eat in the restaurant this time, but the food & service are excellent. Wonderful rooms and the City view is as good as the Garden view. We will be back.

Hotel Modera is a gem of a hotel right in the heart of Portland, within walking distance of everything. The staff was extremely helpful and the room was superb. I especially liked the gas fire stands in the courtyard which made cocktail hour cozy. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Just had a 6 night stay at Hotel Modera. Excellent service with knowledgeable staff offering great suggestions about what to do in Portland. Food at the hotel restaurant was also well-prepared and well-priced esp happy hour. King room was clean, quiet and spacious enough. Only minor catch was lack of storage for clothes. I highly recommend the Modera and will...

Really enjoyed our stay in Portland at the Hotel Modera. The rooms are comfortable, not too large but the perfect sized room for 2. The king beds are super comfy with lots of down pillows. The area is a little dead on the weekends but it's a short walk to the shopping area and food trucks (5th and broadway). Very...

Hotel Modera is not as centrally located as some of the other downtown hotels; however, it makes up for its less ideal location by providing a unique ambiance and excellent staff. Hotel Modera is about a 1/2 mile away from Pioneer Square and a few of the other downtown Portland hotels. But in all honesty, the walk isn't that bad....

Hotel was nice. Not great but nice. Room was small but not tiny. Good location within walking distance of a lot of places. Only valet parking available which was a bit of a bummer. Wife liked the room a lot.

A little background about me. I have been in sales my entire life, half of that in hospitality sales. My girlfriend and I wanted a nice relaxing, good food, good times weekend and we received that and so much more. I have traveled extensively for business around the US and this was by far one of my best experiences. From...

Very nice hotel. Service was excellent, from check-in to having the car ready when we needed it. Room was very comfortable and quiet -- and you can open the window if you like! Location is great -- we had a nice walk on a quiet Sunday morning to the riverside park and breakfast
