Great staff great service great bed. If you have business in the part of downtown during week great.....want weekend of portland hot spot fun. Not so good. To far south for weekend night time fun. Stay closer to the pearl or toward burnside for walking distance to all that is great in portland downtown night life.

Nicely surprised by the updated and modern facilities. Staff were very helpful and responsive when we asked for a few things to be done. The restaurant in the lobby seems like a buzzing place for post-work people. A few nice food carts across the road. A couple of blocks from the Saturday farmer's market, which had some delicious food. An...

This is a nice place. Reasonably priced located right in the heart of the city. Parking is very pricey, but that is the case in all major cities. Still I ding them one star for that. Everything else is fine. For something different give Modera a try. It is nice.

The feel of the Hotel Modera is a small personal service hotel, well appointed. The staff (from the valets, the front desk, restaurant servers, to the room cleaners) are always helpful, attentive and make me feel welcome when I am in Portland. The location makes it easy to walk where i am going, the front desk always has great recommendations...

Hotel Modera was the perfect place for our weekend in Portland. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance of so many great restaurants, coffee shops, running routes, unique boutiques, and the farmer's market. It is located a short walk away from public transportation. Will absolutely be staying here again!

Quite small room, very basic infrastructure, and still quite expensive (1189 US dollars for 4 nights). The furniture is new, even though the hotel is not uptodate (for instance, no key holder in the room, so you always have to check for the key, the elevator needs the key to start, even though this should not be necessary in a...

I stayed here one night while traveling on business. The service was great. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. The rooms are small and there is some road noise but it's not bad. Over all good hotel, conveniently located, good value, especially for business travel.

Loved my stay there and the Revolucion Coffee house on the corner. Helpful staff. Efficient. Nicely designed. Park St nearby is a delightful stroll and pathway to the Pearl District. This 200 character requirement is contrary to my sense of brevity. QqwwerrtyyuuuuiioppppaasdfghjkllXcvbnmmmm

We stayed at the Hotel Modera while visiting Portland State University with our daughter. We didn't rent a car, so got to know the campus and downtown area both very well, as everything is within walking distance. The small sized hotel made for a more personal experience. Have to give kudos to the doorman, who assisted when we arrived and...

Great question, the Pearl is a great neighborhood to visit while you are in town. The Pearl is approximately 1.5 miles away and you can get there any number of ways. In terms of commute time by car you can make it in 7 minutes (but parking on the street can be challenging), 11 minutes by bike, 17 minutes on public transportation (not counting waiting time), and approx. 25-30minutes walking.

If you have the time I recommend walking as you get to take in a lot of what Portland has to offer passing shops and restaurants, some great architecture, and it provides for great people watching.

Hope this helps,

-Andrew Maffei

Richard L,

There is a fee for bringing your pet, the fee is $25 for the entire stay, with no breed restrictions. We do ask that you keep your pet on a leash when in public ares and that you accompany them while they are in the guest room. We look forward to welcoming you and your four legged companion.

NancyRJ,

Hotel Modera does have on-site valet parking, due to the design of our garage and the parameters of our insurance our property is valet only. Overnight parking is typically $32/night, but if you click the link on our Trip Advisor package that says Hotel Packages, it will take you directly to our website and our parking for $1 rate. NancyRJ, I hope this has been helpful please contact me directly with any additional questions or concerns.
