What a beautiful house full of period piece furnishings. We felt very pampered. The breakfast was filling and tasty. We stayed in the Mathea room which was very comfortable and lavishly decorated. We would definitely stay there again.

Jack is the penultimate host. Much has been written about the lovely and engaging Pendleton Historic Inn, its great location, etc. but the best thing here is the vibe created by the innkeeper. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast, we were seated at the baronial dining room table. If Jack had served kippers, we would have believed we were breakfasting at Downton Abbey!

What an striking house! A great alternative to the standard hotel experience. Really appreciated the government rate, friendly host, and easy walk to downtown for delicious Thai food. Great wi-fi allowed me to stream a show and relax after a long work day. It was also nice to walk up and see the welcoming rainbow flag. Thanks Pendleton House!

We only stayed one night as we were just passing through. Everything was as presented and our expectations were met or exceeded in all regards. We go through Pendleton two times a year. We would certainly return, especially for a longer stay.

The Pendleton House itself is clean, period-appointed and completely charming. From the first few steps into the house, I was taken aback by an ambiance that is both elegant and cozy, which is a hard mix to accomplish. Upstairs, I loved the gorgeous, four-poster beds and the chandelier lighting, not to mention all of the appropriate touches of Pendleton, from towels to throws to pictures. That said, while the house was delightful, our stay was over-the-top enjoyable thanks to Jack, the host (and owner). His natural gift for hosting, combined with his vast experience in the hospitality industry were evident in everything he did, including sitting with us in the great room to tell stories about the house. He made us feel like we were his guests, not just customers. His skills are…

We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay at The Pendleton House. The interior is elegant and stately, with decor true to the time period. Jack is the ultimate host and breakfast was worthy of a 5-star restaurant. If you are anywhere near Pendleton, this is the place to stay. We will definitely return!

Wonderful stay in a beautiful historic home. We stayed in the Viola Room - it was comfortable and quiet. The hotel is close to the downtown area, we were able to walk to restaurants and the underground tour. Enjoyed coffee of the front porch before having a lovely breakfast. Can definitely recommend.

So much preserved from the original owner/builder, yet baths tastefully updated. Breakfast hit all the comfort notes. Hosts are very friendly and knowledgeable about the property and Pendelton. The beautiful river walk and town center are a very pleasant walk away. Treat yourself and your loved one.

House decorated to period 1920-30’s. Amazed the original silk walls. And drapes are in perfect condition. We had a large upstairs King Size bed room. “Mathersea” weather was 107 but the room was very comfortable, With A/C on and heavy curtains closed, we stayed comfortable. Updated bathrooms with the look of 1930. Very Clean!! The breakfasts were high end and served with period plates and table servings. A block away from downtown. No TV but WiFi worked well, so would stream a few shows at night. Host Jack was very attentive and helpful. Would love to go back!
