Wonderful accommodations and breakfasts. The Chinook room was nice and roomy. Very pretty setting with very nice hosts and now friends Steve and Mary. Highly recommended. Great for relaxation and setting for places to Visit
I highly recommend the OPI. Mary is the kindest of hosts, really a perfect blend of chatting if you want it, respecting your privacy, making you feel at home. It is quiet and lovely and the room we stayed in was perfect. Parkdale is a nice town, and the brewery across the street had vegan/vegetarian food. I really loved this beautiful B&B. Oh - and I should mention - what a cook!! I will be staying here again!
Thank you Mary and Steven for your hospitality during our stay. The room and premises were clean, neat, and ready to use. Mary was particularly lovely to talk to. We were also impressed with the EV charging station! Will be back to visit Mt Hood again when it's not just ice :)
The room was wanting for nothing...very well stocked with attention to the smallest details. Small fridge, Microwave, super clean, well appointed. Very comfy bed, thick sheets, faux fireplace, large TV with ample channels....just perfect. Only thing better was Mary & Steve. Super nice people with big hearts...so friendly and helpful to us! Mary's 2 breakfasts that we ate were delightful, delicious, and veeeeery ample. We couldn't eat again until dinner. A++++ all the way. We will go back and rent all 3 rooms for family next time!
My wife and I made our annual autumn pilgrimage to the Fruit Loop in Hood River, Oregon. But our time visiting the various farm stands was only half the fun; Steve and Mary provided the other half with their hospitality at the Old Parkdale Inn. The bed is SO comfortable, and we love how it’s situated right beside the windows; we enjoyed the view, the cool evening air, and the patter of the rain! We certainly plan to stay again in the future, and we will make sure we stay for two nights. One night was not enough! We loved the dimmable, cozy lamps; they added a genuine warmth to the room and were especially nice to read by. I read one of their books while we were there (well, the first 28 pages), and that has added to the great memories we have of the Inn. I purchased the book about William Clark when we got home so that I could pick up where I left off—and so that I will think of our visit while reading it. We had an excellent dinner in Hood River at Ixtapa Mexican Restaurant, and the next morning Mary provided a wonderful breakfast—scrambled eggs with mushrooms, cooked to perfection, sausage, along with some fruit. They also have a friendly dog and a loveable cat in residence. But the animals are kept out of all except one room. The Douglas Fir Room is dog-friendly, but you can rest assured if you are not traveling with a dog you'll see no signs that one has been in the room. And if you have an aversion to either, they’ll keep it out of your way for you. When we got home, our cat refused to speak to us because she knew we had spent too much time cheating on her with Elsa, the Inn’s cat. And the rooms are reasonably priced as well. You can't go wrong with the Old Parkdale Inn!…
