We stayed here while on our road trip. Our rooms were clean and although we just missed the new AC systems being installed (it can get warm in this area), they provided fans for us which helped out. The bathroom/showers are shared but if you know that going into it, that can be just fine. The bathrooms were large and...

Eccentric old hotel which was walking distance to MANY wineries and had a nice restaurant above and cool bar scene below. But, when the drunk customers from above took the stairs down and they thought it would be funny to yell loudly near to hotel rooms it got very old very fast. There was no bathroom/shower in our room which...

Jerry- I am glad you enjoyed your visit to the McMinnville area and our quaint Hotel. We do supply earplugs for all our guests, because of our location and the location of our bars our hotel tends to be a bit lively. Thanks for taking the time to tell us about your stay. The building is great, really old and neat. Quite a hike if you take the stairs up to the top, there is an elevator but I didn't know that at the time! It was beautiful up on the roof, but very warm if it is warm outside! They should serve your beer on ice as mine got warm so fast...

Our room was ridiculously small...barely room enough to get around the bed, and smelled musty. I gather from other reviews that other rooms are available at this property. We'd just been at McNenamin's amazing property in Bend, so this was a huge disappointment.

Dani C, Manager at McMenamins Hotel Oregon, responded to this review Ann- I am sorry that your room was so disappointing. Old St. Francis is a beautiful property and their rooms are amazing. Hotel Oregon is a historical building which does tend to lend itself to smaller spaces and rooms. We do have some larger rooms and I hope if...

The location for this hotel can't be beat and the staff were all very nice and helpful. The prices are indicative of "you get what you pay for" so something to keep in mind. The shared bathrooms were not a huge deal. The only thing that got to me was the smell throughout the hotel. It needs all new carpets...

We went here to use our third and last free night's stay as part of becoming a "Cosmic Tripster" through McMenamins "Passport" program. The prices at this McM Hotel are high when compared to most of their other Hotels, but so are all of the other hotels in the McMinnville, OR area. Their rooms are small with no TVs of...

We checked out the Hotel Oregon on a Saturday afternoon and they were rather slow which we enjoy. We checked out the roof top bar that overlooked the charming downtown but we ended out choosing the cellar bat due the being close to 100 degrees and we wanted a quieter visit. The cellar was one of my favorite places with...

We positively loved our stay here, and can't wait to go back! Not only are all of the rooms a little different from one another, but the whole building just bursts with personality. The shared bathrooms is a norm at McMenamins' hotels, so we were expecting them, and honestly had no troubles at all. The real kicker here is the...

I love love love LOVE this hotel! So charming and I love how every room has a story. Shared restrooms somehow bother a good amount of people but not the hubby and I. Feel like youre transported back in time. The waitstaff from maids, front desk, to the restaurant are so incredibly helpful and nice. Not that forced, smiling through...

Very quaint historic hotel in downtown McMinnville. We had two rooms sharing a bathroom. The boys loved the claw foot tub. The rooms were on the small side, and the windows were not sound proof. They provided ear plugs, but it wasn't an issue during the week when we were there. The staff was wonderful, but overall the room was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
On McMinnville's charming, old main street, Hotel Oregon strikes an inviting pose - as it has since 1905. Once home to a restaurant and lounge, banquet hall, Greyhound bus depot, Western Union, soda fountain and beauty parlor, the handsome four-story building we call Hotel Oregon is a delightful destination in the heart of Oregon's wine country.Warm lighting in the first floor pub, cozy tables and an impressive 40-foot long back bar invite close conversation over the glint of a fresh pint or maybe a game of shuffle board in the Paragon room. Artwork and wall hangings inspire thoughts of the past and a trip to the subterranean bistro-style Cellar Bar or magnificent Rooftop Bar (with its breathtaking 360-degree view of the region) are a must for any visitor to the hotel. ... more   less
