We rented the Nantucket Inn in January 2021. First off, it's one of four hotel rooms that are part of one large house somebody converted to, or created as, a "hotel". We stayed in #2, which is on the bottom right. #1 is bottom left. The two you can see when you pull up are #3 & #4. There are no signs or instructions to what room you have, so I'm listing this so you don't have to wander around like we did. Parking is tight, so be aware you'll be packed into one of 4 spaces and god help you if you drive a big truck. The room itself is clean. It has two giant plate glass windows overlooking the ocean that are the entire weight of the cost for this room. There's a gas fireplace/woodstove in the front room with the kitchen and couch/TV combo. There's a wall heater in the bedroom. If you get cold easily, you'll have the heaters on a lot to keep up during the winter months. The bed is nice and clean and the pillows are just right. There are two problems with this rental. 1) the kitchen is big but useless since you aren't allowed to have any raw seafood AND there's no stove, no utensils, no way to cook anything. We bought fruit and the local market and picked up Mo's for dinner. 2) when we arrived, the door was open and a maintenance worker was in the bathroom, fixing a "drain problem". To be fair, we checked in 20 minutes early, but the front desk said the room was ready for us. The worker was super nice, and we dropped off our bags and went for a walk on the beach. All in all, it was worth it to see the King Tides from our room. At high tide, the water smacks the retaining wall that's 15 feet from our windows. But the room itself needs some attention, including grout mold in the bathroom, carpet-installation finish work, bathtub tile work, and some finish work on the door jamb in the entry and the bathroom wall corners, and the tub tile needs replacing. I can see how much they've done so far, with new paint and carpet, but it's got a little ways to go before it's $250 worthy in an off season, in my opinion.…
Worst customer service ever! Booked a hotel room via phone not online so I could clarify that I wanted a balcony, she assured me I was going to have a balcony! Check in and magically I do not have a room with a balcony so my deft fiancé can hear the ocean a little bit ! First come first serve basis , she said . Well we checked in first and everyone ( 2 people) that checked In after me got a balcony ! Also you can hear everything and when you have rude inconsiderate people above you , banging and thuds and scraping are awful. No respect for others. I’ll never stay here again! No one was helpful in anything! The only 1st bad experience I’ve had Staying at the coast!! Go somewhere else , not here .
We stayed on the upper floor shuck had an awesome view of the ocean. The room was clean and check in was easy. The only issue was that there wasn’t comfortable seating in the room itself. It had a nice balcony with two chairs but it being November we couldn’t sit outside due to rain and wind and being cold, so we brought the two chairs inside so we could sit somewhat comfortably and watch the ocean. The other thing I’d like to add is when booking at the Nantucket, when selecting a room other than the suite you will get a email saying they will try their best to accommodate you I selected the king bed room when I booked. I thought I booked a king bed room but when we got our room it was a queen bed room so this was disappointing. We will definitely stay here again but I will book the one of the suites. …
Check was great. As soon as we got to the room we noticed the hand soap was empty. I called the front desk at 240 to ask for hand soap and no one showed up. I drive to the front desk. When I got there she said that if I wanted the liquid hand soap I should have brought the container. It’s 2020, this shouldn’t even be an issue with no hand soap! Also we have a 3 night stay and we were given one roll of tiolet paper and one set of towels. If we aren’t. Getting house keeping which I don’t even want you should at least have towels to get us through the stay. It’s our favorite place out here and the room is amazing and a great view
Fantastic like always. The view was awesome, comfy bed, nice robes along with big jetted tub, fireplace, private balcony. The only bummer was they were not hiding the glass floats because of Covid-19. We have stayed at the beach front properties many times and it's never been anything but AWESOME
