I was doing field work on the Umpqua with a colleague, and we over extended ourselves. Anyway, it was late when we finally tried to find room and board. Fortunately we found Ron and the idleYld gang. They really took care of us, despite the hour of night. The rooms are spartan - don't expect mints on your pillow -...

Stopped here for the night on our way to Roseburg from Crater Lake. We had a great stay in a spacious and charming unit... #3, I think. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the dining room was welcoming and comfy...love the fireplace! And though we didn't have kids with us, they are family friendly. Nice couple own and manage this...

We spent the night at Idleyld Lodge while on our way to the Oregon Coast. We spent the day hiking into waterfalls along the North Umpqua. We checked in around 4:00 pm, and were shown to our room. The room had a flat screen tv and ac. The bed was absolutely wonderful. We slept like we haven't slept in a...

We came looking looking for a place to stay and ended up with much more. This place has it's own restaurant which is great in the mornings. The food is pretty good too! We arrived and found two huge homemade cookies. They were delicious. The room itself is nicely renovated. The building is very okd , but it was nice...

We had the chance to try their food at the North Umpqua Music Festival July 17-19. Their smoothies were super tasty, but I wanted to highlight their breakfast today! I had a chance to try out their biscuits and gravy. How can I put this.....these were truly EPIC! The biscuits were amazing cowboy style biscuits that were toothy and flavorful....

Dated, dirty and dumpy. Apparently fishermen stay here and apparently they don't care where they sleep. Only 4 rooms. Carpets hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long. No phone. No clock. 40 watt bulb in the ceiling fixture in the bathroom so you couldn't see to apply makeup or see (thankfully) into the rusty metal shower stall, where you...

Looking for something besides small town burger shack. The Idleyld remodeled two years ago. It's about 26 mi. east of Roseburg, OR. There were about 500 people at a big wildflower show three miles away--so the burger - pizza joints (2) were busy. We were grateful to find this about three miles east of Glide, OR on OR 138 going...

My boyfriend and I stayed here last night on a whim while vacationing in Oregon. We wanted to check out Umpqua Hot Springs but it was raining and getting dark and we decided not to camp. We called and they had one room left. We were greeted by two friendly ladies and felt comfortable right away. The room was clean...

We just ate at the restaurant in the lodge, so I cannot comment on the sleeping quarters. However, the owner entertained our toddler daughters for about an hour with card tricks, magic tricks, and just his kind personality. The food was great, the staff was very kind, and we will be going back. They even have a corner of the...

Awkward, weird, strange, horrible experience. Avoid this place and choose someplace else to stay if you can. Some of the bad details include; Game room not open to guests in the evening, temp issues with shower, trashy trailer park next door, they won't let you change rooms if request to, problems with leaking a/c wall unit which prevents you from...

We’re disappointed to hear that your stay at IdleYld Lodge was such an “awkward, weird, strange, horrible experience”. We really do strive to ensure each guest’s experience is filled with great memories. What disappoints us more, however, is that you stayed over a month ago, but waited to voice the magnitude of your concerns until now, in a public forum,...
