This place is chic vintage. Over 100 years old, the building has been lovingly restored. It's clean and comfortable but rooms are small and floors a bit creaky. We found it to be a lot of fun and particularly enjoyed the old time elevator and...More
My brother and I stayed a night here on our yearly getaway together. Megan at the front desk was extremely knowledgeable, fun, and helpful. I hit her with a deluge of questions about the areas history, food, parking, and directions. She answered all with great...More
Room was dark ,creepy and hot!No over head fan. Bathroom was a nightmare! Would never stay there again, ever! Historic hotels are cool, not this one. Lobby gives one a false sense of what is upstairs. Plus, a rickety “elevator “ had me wondering if...More
Great hotel, has lots of history in the building. If you're looking for a more modern type of hotel with big bathrooms and large TV's you won't find that here. They tried to keep the historic feel, which they successfully did. There is air conditioning...More

We were there on a Sunday night and didn't need to pay for parking at night. However, we paid the $3 for a permit to put in our window to cover the next morning after 8 am. You can't park on the main street but it was easy finding a place on the street up from the hotel--a very short walk. We loved the restaurant in the hotel and that's where we had dinner. The owner was really nice and it made for an easy place to go after a long day of driving. We later walked up and down the street and there were other nice looking and packed restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel was perfect.
