Six night stay to explore the Oregon coast and Florence; Hospitable host; very knowledgeable of the area and ready with suggestions at your request. We chose the smaller main floor room with private bath and small outdoor patio. Wish the weather had cooperated but the vista from the open door and deck was special. Host(s) put out a fresh breakfast...

The Blue Heron is located a short distance from The Casino On the outskirts of Florence. From the porch, sitting room and dining area you will have a pleasant inlet water view Of many local birds. There are multiple types of rooms quaintly decorated and the owner is willing to assist with luggage for the upstairs rooms. Breakfast is served...

Our stay in the country room was perfect. Being first time visitors to this area Maurices knowledge of the area was invaluable. He provided specific information on the area beaches including those that required a fee and those that were free along with detailed directions. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was served at 9 and was delicious....

We were grateful to our hosts for such an abundance of information on the area and willingness to accommodate our needs. Breakfast was great and the rooms were clean. The overall experience was a bit awkward. We walked into the house with the host watching Fox News playing in the living room, which made us feel like we were intruding...

This was a young couple that booked earlier in the day with little research, thinking it was more of a hotel I believe, and know little about Bed & Breakfast facilities. They were bicycling from Portland to California and upon checking in they moved from Grandma's room (Victorian Room) to the more modern fun room (Raspberry Cream Room) for the...

Warm, friendly and (quite frankly) LIFE-SAVERS. When my reservation was cancelled at a local hotel, Maurice & Stella offered a room. First time at a B&B. Breakfast-AWESOME, rooms-AWESOME. I'll be back

After 6 days of camping, a comfortable bed and a warm breakfast sounded great. The experience exceeded our expectations. The owners Maurice and Stella are very sweet, welcoming, and helpful. Being a first timer at the B&B experience, I had no idea what to predict. Maurice gave us the scoop on all of the local shops & restaurants downtown. We...

We come to Florence every summer to kayak the small lakes in the dunes. For the last 10 or so years we've stayed at the Blue Heron and it's almost like going to visit a favorite aunt & uncle. Great place to stay!!! There are kayak and canoe trails, lots of lakes and the rides on the dune buggy in...

Due to a change in plans we suddenly needed to find lodging on the Oregon Coast in high season and everything was solidly booked, yet this place had a few rooms. We guessed that perhaps people might be avoiding it due to some of the Trip Advisor reviews, as we had done at first. But we went to check it...

Don't know how to respond! This is our home also, which is what a bed & breakfast is historically. Yes, we do watch the news in the afternoon in the common area, waiting for guests to arrive, no blaring TV, as our hearing is fine! Yes, we do ring a small glass bell to alert guests that a hot breakfast...

B&Bs seem to come in three flavors. A detached living area near or at a home with almost no interaction with hosts or other guests. Second a luxury home with upstairs rooms where their are guests a good bit of interaction with hosts at breakfast and possibly with other guests at breakfast or in common areas. Host live largely apart....

The hosts are very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the area - They even offered to share their dinner reservation with us at a local eatery. The breakfast in the morning was good. The only negative is that it is on a busy road and you can hear the trafiic from your room.
