This place is a must see. The host's ( Doug and Kristen ) are very helpful. Are family ( The Makela's ) have been going to Troy in July for 26 years to spend one week camping out and have seen a lot of people trying to manage the resort but have seen none better than Doug. We have dinner...

We recently discovered this small gem of a resort by accident! Troy is in a rural area reached by a rural road but the drive in from Hwy 3 and along Grande Ronde River Road is a spectacular scenic view - it follows the river through a beautiful canyon green sided with spring grass and wildflowers! The town of Troy...

What can you expect for a town with very few people in it, a 4 star hotel? We stayed at the Shilo resort last year in May for Bear season, we were pretty happy with our stay. The service we received from the owners was great, anything we needed they were able to accommodate. The mobile we stayed in could...

We stayed in the RV Park. Park was clean and very relaxing. Spent 3 days exploring the area. Hiked on trails into the wilderness areas and rode FS roads on dual sport motorcycles. It was hot in the afternoons so little float down the Grande Ronde river was refreshing. This area is gorgeous. Wildlife and scenery is definitely our attraction....

Stayed numerous nights at this places and only reason why we did was because we had pre-paid and couldn't get our money back. I didn't complain to the person operating this place because we were the only ones staying and knew our money was gone. Well we found out the hard way, never pre-pay. Bugs were in the rooms and...

This is the Shilo Resort in Troy, Oregon. We rolled in with our Jeep club on a hot day, ready to jump in the river & cool off. We were greeted by friendly folks, rented three shady tent spots for our 6 Jeeps & relaxed for the rest of the day. The resort offers rooms, cabins, RV & tent spaces...

After a great day of rafting on the Grande Ronde River, stayed the night at this place. Had originally reserved a room upstairs but the owner was kind enough to upgrade us to a cabin with more space on the ground floor. That evening after a wonderful dinner in the lodge, complete with massive elk mounts on the walls reminiscent...
